Someone recommended this so I decided to check it out. Enjoyed it a lot. The story is good and since the choices make a difference to the story I'll be playing it more than a few times.

A good game in need of a lot of polish. The story is pretty good and the writing is solid. The combat is competent. For those unfamiliar with this genre but are familiar with XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within, it's similar but definitely not the same.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Review

Sequels are a pretty common occurrence in gaming, but decades after the initial release, all hopes are typically gone for a followup. Wasteland 2 went agai

Classic grid-based gameplay; Wild West-like setting; Abundance of content

Overwhelming leveling system; Confusing mini-maps

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Review

Teenage wasteland.

Absolutely massive; reactionary story; Deep character customisation; Excellent turn-based combat

Sharp difficulty spikes; Map isn't very helpful; Crams a lot onto the screen

The post-apocalypse is a cruel mistress

Everything old is new again in gaming, with an unprecedented influx of retro-flavored titles popping up via Kickstarter and otherwise. However, this trend isn't surprising when it's realized that many of today's players and devs are well into their 30's and 40's with gaming kids of their own.

The satisfaction of wiping out a whole pack of raiders via tactical genius

Scroll; scroll and scroll again through disconnected menus

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut

The Director's Cut of Wasteland 2 does enough things right that you can forgive its awkward introduction. The phrase "What comes after the end? I don't know" kicks off a corny live-action opening that pales in comparison to the "War.
