At times this is really fun, but the other times, it can really drag and gets really same-y. There are quite a few bits to do in the town, but when you're off fighting monsters, a lot of the time you just kind of want it over asap.

When it comes to the ‘Monster Hunter' genre, I can't say I've ever been too bothered to invest much time in them. I didn't have any particular reason why because in all honesty, it sounds like it should be right up my alley.
Love the game
Toukiden: Kiwami is an expanded package for fans of monster hunting who missed the original Vita release last year. The re-release brings the game to PS4, and while it still feels like a handheld game, it's a unique offering for those without a Vita.
+ Fun; frantic combat system; + Character customisation & crafting; + An actual storyline
- Feels like a handheld game on PS4; - The grind can be tedious; - Full price re-release of a Vita game released last year
A large game with a compelling story, likable characters and rewarding combat. This game has so much, but it doesn't have many recognizing flaws. KT has a franchise in Toukiden that gives Playstation gamers a MH-esque experience with it's own identity. Highly recommendable.
I don't know how to say this but it is really average at best. The crafting system isn't as expansive as I hope and the multiplayer isn't really promising
Had the feel of a ps2 game. Like an extremely waters down monster hunter.
Toukiden: Kiwami is the upgraded version of Toukiden, building on the original with a host of new characters, weapons and monsters to increase gameplay even further. This edition lets players bring their data over from the original while also offering cross save and cross platform multiplayer. ...
Good AI – Adds more to an already great game
Not a huge challenge on offer
Toukiden: Kiwami is the updated version of the Vita game Toukiden: Age of Demons , this time released on both the Vita and PlayStation 4 with a bunch of new content, along with cross play and cross save functionality, too.
All in all, Toukiden: Kiwami is an extremely fulfilling game to finish, and clocking in at least 80 hours for your playthrough is not at all skimpy. It's just that good too and really fun the whole way through.
