Cheap but not something i would recommend as a performance case

Purchased this case as something mid-range... noted the performance in the title of the case as the PC i have is more of a performance case. Incredibly disappointed with this case as it has developed a rattle somewhere within the case which seems to be happening just from the whiring and vibrations...

Thermaltake Chaser A31 Case Review

KitGuru says: An eye-catching, gamer-orientated chassis with room for large components, but it is not good enough to compete with similarly-priced options.

Eye-catching gamer design; Quiet fans; Large side panel window; Holding area for portable devices; Good GPU; CPU cooler and power supply clearance

No fan controller; Limited cable management clearance; PCI slots not tool-less; Layout can causes interference; mainly with fan mounts; Some cost-cutting build decisions – no rubber dampers; plastic feet; short audio cable; Priced too closely to very tough competitors

Bit Bigger than I thought. But nice. Space at the top could have been a bit better for water cooler. So I changed my mind and went Air. Nice quality. Could not get top power supply through gap so had to route alternative.

Cable management design was great but the case itself doesn't have that "nice feel". Everything feels a bit too light and there is a very annoying buzz that I just cannot seem to find on the case. It only goes away one I remove the side panel.

Thermaltake Chaser A31 Review

The new Thermaltake Chaser A31 enters the case market at a rather competitive price point, as £80 midi-tower chassis are fairly easy to come by. It can therefore be particularly easy even for competent cases to fail at standing out from the crowd, a problem that befell the last case from Thermaltake...

Pros

Bought this case with a new system. I really liked the design, though upon receipt was only mildly disappointed that the blue on the front of the HD bays was more cyan than "blue", which I was hoping for because I bought blue LEDs to go with it.

- if you like the design; it has great case design (go figure; - top gadget holder tray is convenient; - front access to USB 3.0 and headphone/microphone jacks is convenient; - bottom dust tray is effective; - good airflow possibilities with behind-the-wall cable-hiding system; - very convenient HD...

- front blue is more of a cyan than a "blue LED" blue; - not especially sound dampening; - not especially conducive to travel; if you're one of those guys who takes his computer around to LAN parties or something

Chaser A31

This is a mid-tower set up for gaming. I like the way the drive bays are set up, can fit a GTX 760 in here fine. No worrying about cables being messed up or possible crosstalk between data and power cables. Easy to put the drives in - no tools needed! Front ports and power button are easy access.
