Thermaltake Chaser A31 Review

The new Thermaltake Chaser A31 enters the case market at a rather competitive price point, as £80 midi-tower chassis are fairly easy to come by. It can therefore be particularly easy even for competent cases to fail at standing out from the crowd, a problem that befell the last case from Thermaltake...

There are no glaring issues with the case and if you like the design it offers a different styling and design to other offerings from different manufacturers within this price bracket.

Thermaltake Chaser A31 Thunder Case

We first laid eyes on the new Thermaltake Chaser A31 Thunder back at CES and boy did it make a good first impression. Combining the front bay looks we have come to love in the Stacker cases with a head turning black and blue style that looks even better in person.

Beautiful color scheme; Lots of versatility; Support for tons of optional cooling; Exceptional build quality

Top fan cover not removable; Size limits optional fan sizing; ATX or smaller motherboards only

Thermaltake Chaser A31 Case Review

KitGuru says: An eye-catching, gamer-orientated chassis with room for large components, but it is not good enough to compete with similarly-priced options.

Eye-catching gamer design; Quiet fans; Large side panel window; Holding area for portable devices; Good GPU; CPU cooler and power supply clearance

No fan controller; Limited cable management clearance; PCI slots not tool-less; Layout can causes interference; mainly with fan mounts; Some cost-cutting build decisions – no rubber dampers; plastic feet; short audio cable; Priced too closely to very tough competitors

Thermaltake Chaser A31

We have been on a Mid Tower kick here lately with case reviews and a few have left us impressed while others leave us scratching our head with odd design choices. One of those cases was the Urban S21 from Thermaltake, a company generally known for good, solid case design.
