Zenimax Online launches the first MMO in the Elder Scrolls Online universe. How does the subscription MMO stack up against the competition? So here it is, Bethesda Softworks's attempt at crafting the next big massively multiplayer online game.

Very Disappointed with my purchase.

The figurine in the "collector's set" was damaged clearly glued back together by a child very disappointed. The figurine is articulated in the wrong position and does not stand correctly. The weapon is also missing paint. The disc was not shrink wrapped. Very unstable.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited

While we're not so impressed with the graphics, TESO has made a fine transition to console in terms of controls, interface and the all-important gameplay. At its best, it's still a solid, exciting MMO, with masses to explore, some great quest-lines and some fun multiplayer gameplay later on.

Authentic Elder Scrolls feel; Strong character creation and progression; Epic world and some great quest design; Lacks the dismal grind of many MMOs

Some tedious settings and unimaginative quests; Design limits wandering and group activities; Unimpressive graphics

First and foremost, Morrowind is a captivating place to land and an interesting island to explore, rich with lore and content but hobbled by some dull writing and bland storytelling. Like the Elder Scrolls Online base game, Morrowind feels static, lacking imagination in its mechanics and design.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind

So this review is late… really late. The reason is simple… whilst it's not uncommon to hear the phrase "fell down the rabbit hole"… well with Morrowind it's kind of more like falling down the wormhole… there seem to be infinite possibilities out the other end.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind review

A great repository of nostalgia-heavy stories, but it doesn't make the most of being an MMO.

Has lost the magic...

I agree with an earlier reviewer in that it feels like hanging out in a playground rather than the amazing evocative world of the earlier games. Cities and guilds felt like soulless jamborees as people flew all over the place with their million-and-one add-ons.

The Elder Scrolls Online review

The Elder Scrolls Online is a mess. Somewhere, buried under bugs, often bizarre design decisions and weird rookie level structural mistakes that the game makes, there is a great MMO struggling to be

Decent for a mmo

If you enjoy mmo gaming this one is for you, graphics are good but the actions of killing the monsters are a bit animated, but for the price with no monthly fees you will be up in no time in a cool environment and playing with your friends, the worlds are huge and will keep you playing for many...
