The Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online struggles to balance between its single-player legacy and its decidedly MMO trappings. Some of its ideas work really well, but the rest is either derivative or half-baked.

Excellent PvP; Some creative quests; Plenty to justify the subscription cost

Inconsistent design; Far too close to the standard MMO; Draws too many comparisons to other; better games

Game Review: Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online is Zenimax and Bethesda's entry to the MMO genre and instalment of the Elder Scrolls series, and was probably one of the most discussed MMOs until its launch.

Fantastic Soundtrack; Plenty of Quests; Some fun voice actors; Sup-par Loot; Unsatisfying bosses & events; Frustrating & boring Dungeons

The Elder Scrolls Online Review

Sadly, the PvP and the other multiplayer-centric content only represent a small percentage of the overall game. In all my years playing games I have never known one to have so much content, and offer so little that is interesting.

Decent for a mmo

If you enjoy mmo gaming this one is for you, graphics are good but the actions of killing the monsters are a bit animated, but for the price with no monthly fees you will be up in no time in a cool environment and playing with your friends, the worlds are huge and will keep you playing for many...

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind

So this review is late… really late. The reason is simple… whilst it's not uncommon to hear the phrase "fell down the rabbit hole"… well with Morrowind it's kind of more like falling down the wormhole… there seem to be infinite possibilities out the other end.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind review

A great repository of nostalgia-heavy stories, but it doesn't make the most of being an MMO.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited

While we're not so impressed with the graphics, TESO has made a fine transition to console in terms of controls, interface and the all-important gameplay. At its best, it's still a solid, exciting MMO, with masses to explore, some great quest-lines and some fun multiplayer gameplay later on.

Authentic Elder Scrolls feel; Strong character creation and progression; Epic world and some great quest design; Lacks the dismal grind of many MMOs

Some tedious settings and unimaginative quests; Design limits wandering and group activities; Unimpressive graphics

Review: Elder Scrolls Online

More than any other game in the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim was a game that seemed like it wanted to be shared. Not just because of the scale of the game, or its attempts to create stand-in, NPC friends, but because it was just so much fun to explore.

Zenimax Online launches the first MMO in the Elder Scrolls Online universe. How does the subscription MMO stack up against the competition? So here it is, Bethesda Softworks's attempt at crafting the next big massively multiplayer online game.
