Pretty good
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hasn't had the most favourable history in the videogame industry, the hard as nails NES classic has earned cult status, but put-off many due to its unforgiving difficulty; then in 2013 we had the questionable Out of the Shadows and more recently the disappointing TMNT:...
Replicates the IDW universe well; Some fun end of level bosses
Repetitive missions; Repetitive gameplay; Where's the local co-op; Frustrating camera
We misunderstood the game and thought it was a true cooperative multiplayer game, which was what we were seeking. Unfortunately not.
Mutants in Manhattan: Kicking Shell or Boring as Hell
Back in the late 80's and early 90's, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the hottest thing in America. At least, if you were a little boy. Toys, TV shows, movies, and videogames featuring the turtles were all the rage, and this week's XBLA release highlights one of the games with, arguably, the...
Co-Op play; Everything you remember is completely intact; Only 400 points ($5
Excruciatingly difficult; Not nearly as fun as you remember
My 5 year old loves anything that has to deal with ninja turtles so he surely wanted this game. While he did enjoy playing it and it was pretty easy to figure out he was disappointed when he beat the game over the weekend.
Easy to learn; Kid Appropriate
Poor/No Multiplayer Mode; Too Short
I grew up as a HUGE TMNT fan and have played many of the arcade games, NES games and up from there and I can honestly say this is the best one I have ever played. It's not the most challenging but it is really fun and the graphics are great compared to older arcade games.
I'm sure you remember this game if you grew up in the nineties. It was all over in arcades. You went up to it and put your quarter in and played until you lost your life. Same game. If you were a kid in the 80's or 90's chances are you were into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
My 5 year old loves the ninja turtles, and daddy's xbox. As a gift we got it for him to play on rainy days. Yes, there's violence in it, but no more violence than watching the show itself. I wish there were more to the game though, it was fairly easy to beat.
Fun To Play; Graphics; Kid Appropriate; Multiplayer
Too Short
