Liking this lens so far
Really enjoying the large aperture and sharpness. Lens is light but does feel solidly built. Bought it as a combo macro/portrait lens for use on my APS-C slr, and it seems to fit the bill well. I think if I was more oriented to Macro I'd probably go longer, maybe 100mm+.

Tamron SP AF 60mm f2 Di II LD (IF) 1:1 Macro
In some ways, a fast maximum aperture isn't particularly important with a macro lens. At very close focussing distances, depth of field is very shallow anyway, and it's more likely you'll want to stop down to make the most of it.
