Don't purchase for windows 7
Tried many times to get this unit to work with windows 7, met with nothing but failure. I checked forums and read solutions others have posted. Nothing will solve why the driver software cannot be installed by windows.

T p link dongle
As with tp link range extender I have nothing but praise for the dongle. Very poor range in my property but this connects very well.

"Works well for the price"
Initially the stick did not see my WiFi network (Asus DSL-66U) but after installing the Windows 8.1 drivers from the website it works flawlessly. Download the drivers beforehand if you require them! (It comes with a CD but I don't have a disk drive)

Just What I Needed
Bought this because I needed an adaptor that would handle Time Warner's upgrade to a dual band modem. It works like a charm. By being able to access the 5hGz band my download speed increased by anywhere from five to six times. I am a happy camper!

B&H saves me again l
After getting my cable modem upgraded to a 5g dual band wifi, I found my laptop did not offer support and I was left behind in 2.4g land. HP was no help but when I turned to B&H as always, they had the perfect solution. The 300Mbps 2.4/5Ghz N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter by TP-Link.

Shows Ambition but fails to deliver
Can connect to the 2.4Ghz network but it never achieves internet access. It just says "identifying" and never finds an IP.

it's awesome
it's perfect, but not very compatible with Gateway routers, gateway always make cheap low quality chinese products, other wise i would buy it again if i have enough money or get a new router.
