Its an appliance. Not much sophisticated function to comment about. It was trivial setup. Plug it in, hook up to router. Connect a bunch of devices to it. All devices working fine, getting high data rates. No issues. Nothing to complain about. Works great with gigabit ethernet.

Solid, reliable

This PoE router is high quality and does the job perfectly. I use it to drive four Arecont cameras which it has done perfectly so far. It can be used as a managed router or you can use it just like an un- managed router - plug it in and forget.

This is an excellent option to expand your connection needs

Allows you to triple the number of standard four ports on your router to twelve. If your needs have grown to more than the standard four ports on your router. This is an excellent option to expand your connection needs.

Solid and Great Product!

Spent a little bit more on the metal version and it's great choice! I have not seen any problem yet and the product is working smoothly and quietly. It does NOT generate a lot of heat! It sits in the attic along now! Thank you, Office Depot to offer such great product locally and on-line!

Still Working

I found this unit to work well in small non-critical environments. It is not supposed to be a business class switch.
It is small, discreet and has no fan noise which made it great for use connecting devices in my entertainment center.

Easy To Set Up; Metal Case; Quiet; No fan noise; Small

Still uses the awkward sized power adapter

8 port switch for my AV kit.

After looking for a way to get network over POE, and directly connect all my AV kit to the router, rather than run a cable through the house. This device plus POE plugs (i.e TP Link) works really well, it saves trying to connect a wireless router which is still not up to 4k streaming, even with...

Great switch, poor power supply

Hopefully TP-Link with find a better supplier for their power supplies soon. I like the switch, but until I know for certain I won't be getting any more whining adapters I won't be getting any more of these switches.

As a switch this works very well; It has no issues maintaining gigabit transfer speeds between two devices; I have used this switch for almost a year and have had no issues with maintaining connectivity.

Unfortunately the power supply included with this unit exhibits some of the most irritating coil whine I have come across; Mine would produce an annoying high pitched whine as soon as it was plugged it.
