Its an appliance. Not much sophisticated function to comment about. It was trivial setup. Plug it in, hook up to router. Connect a bunch of devices to it. All devices working fine, getting high data rates. No issues. Nothing to complain about. Works great with gigabit ethernet.

Solid, reliable

This PoE router is high quality and does the job perfectly. I use it to drive four Arecont cameras which it has done perfectly so far. It can be used as a managed router or you can use it just like an un- managed router - plug it in and forget.

Great Switch at a Great Price

I purchased this switch on Black Friday for $20, which is a great price. It performs very well with a 16Gbps backplane. It's built solid with a nice metal case, yet the switch itself is still fairly light weight. The LEDs show link speed and activity. It's simply plug-and-play.

This is an excellent option to expand your connection needs

Allows you to triple the number of standard four ports on your router to twelve. If your needs have grown to more than the standard four ports on your router. This is an excellent option to expand your connection needs.

Great switch for the price

The TrendNet gigabyte switch was a great value. For the price you can't beat it. It Works well right out of the box. No programming required. Just plug it in and plug in your cat5 cables and it works right away. Yellow and green lights light up to let you know if the signal is working or not.

Excellent value for money. Does what it says.

TP-Link TL-SG108 Our home network/LAN has evolved over the years. For someone who was, supposedly, a computer networking expert, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that very little planning was involved in this evolution.

Simpe to install; Great price .

Having an external DC adapter is a pain but nothing else I can think of

Great switch, poor power supply

Hopefully TP-Link with find a better supplier for their power supplies soon. I like the switch, but until I know for certain I won't be getting any more whining adapters I won't be getting any more of these switches.

As a switch this works very well; It has no issues maintaining gigabit transfer speeds between two devices; I have used this switch for almost a year and have had no issues with maintaining connectivity.

Unfortunately the power supply included with this unit exhibits some of the most irritating coil whine I have come across; Mine would produce an annoying high pitched whine as soon as it was plugged it.

Works great

This switch was plug and play. I use it for connecting my Synology NAS, SONOS Bridge and some other devices for VOIP Telephone (OBIHAI) and Garage door opener. It works great. No issues with VOIP or any other devices. The speed is great NO drop in speed.
