good, and cheap

bought it two months ago, placed it in my office. not like the DLink switch we chose before, this switch just never hang there, and always fast. I think its just enough for an unmanaged switch.
Pros:
  • works well after two months nonstop working
  • really fast with the gigabit capability more over, really good price
Cons:
  • i wish its smaller
  • cuz i like the small switch

Works perfect and solid.

Right of the box and had it running in just a few minutes. Perfect for a home network where you do not need a managed switch. Construction is top notch with a built in power supply (no wall wart). I am very pleased and would recommend this to anyone and the price is perfect.

Overkill for most people

Excellent switch for a small office/ home office type network setup, particularly in a network closet with a rackmount cabinet. That does not mean you cannot use it anywhere else you need this many ports.

NEVER EVER BUY TP-LINK

Some Feedback before any consider buying this - Overall coverage for the wifi - Very Good - It does not work on DSL2+ Modulation type. The connection is never stable and the DSL light keeps blinking never stabilises. - I even tried having D-Link as Modem and using this only for WiFi.

Good Valued Switch

Settings such as QOS priority and line testing are easy to perform. For the price this is a good solid switch that performs well with multiple computers, ip phone, and a wireless hub running at one time.

Poor LAGG support

Much better off with a used
Pros:
  • This is a managed switch
  • yes
  • has some basic features like VLAN support and the cable testing is cool.
Cons:
  • The link aggregation does not seem to be up to IEEE 802.3ad specification
  • My server with 4 ports in a trunk gets 96% packet loss, and a fraction of the bandwidth to my NAS (Maybe 5MB/s)
  • WebUI seems poorly translated from another language.
