South Park: The Stick of Truth Review

The Stick of Truth makes one thing abundantly clear: I never want to play another video game made without Trey Parker and Matt Stone's direct, intimate involvement. With a controller in your hand, you are almost literally – gloriously – playing a 14-hour episode of South Park.

Feels just like the show, Light but fun RPG systems, Legitimately funny, Canada; Just...Canada

Classes too similar

South Park: The Stick of Truth

South Park:The Stick of Truth is a role playing game set in the awesomely irreverent world of South Park, Colorado; a magical land full of elementary school boys who engage in random high jinks made possible by the epic stupidity of their elders.

South Park brought to life for fans; the disgusting jokes never seem to end; lots of equipment to choose from; very nice customization options; fairly easy combat system (with a few exceptions); great story; different classes and companions mean great opportunity for replay with different abilities

Blocking can be very difficult; some of the enemies are too large for you to see button prompts; no warnings that there aren't enough points to level up all of your abilites; manuevering through the environments is unnecessarily tedious due to elaborate designs

South Park: The Stick of Truth

creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker brought to life one of the most hilariously offensive shows in television history. Throughout the course of its time on TV, it's been one of the most consistently hilarious, relevant and absurd shows ever.

+ The game South Park fans deserve, + Funniest video game of all time, + Looks and feels exactly like the show, + Canada; Just...Canada, + Accessible combat for those not familiar with turn-based combat

- Lack of New Game; - Not much replay value once you've done everything

South Park: The Stick of Truth

Ten minutes into playing South Park: The Stick of Truth, I'm looking over my class selection which includes a Jew and wondering why I thought I could give my character any other name besides "Douchebag." This is South Park; of course I'm going to be called Douchebag. That's me, Douchebag the Jew.

Obsidian and South Park Studios fantastically crafted the closest experience we can have with the world of South Park; Colorado

Some of the button commands for attacks and abilities aren't that fluid; especially those involving the analog sticks

Bigger, Longer, And Cut

When I was but a wee boy, definitely too young to be playing it, I remember playing South Park 64 and being appalled at the travesty put in front of me. As a ten-year old at the time my standards were probably about as sky-high as my height, and I still accepted that this was the pits.

Non-stop laughs; Breakneck pace; South Park brought to life

Surplus fart jokes; Simplistic mechanics

South Park: The Stick of Truth Review

Let's get super cereal, shall we? South Park: The Stick of Truth is the closest there is to an interactive South Park film. It nails the animated television show's look, its humor, and its obsession with the human anus.

Nails the South Park humor and aesthetic; Great writing that doesn't rely on references to the show to be funny

Easy; short; and shallow

Never Fart on a Man's Balls

Breathe easy, fans of South Park -the long awaited Stick of Truth has finally arrived, and more importantly, it's one of those rare licensed games that's actually good. After clearing what could have been several fatal hurdles (including the bankruptcy of publisher THQ) the game arrived on store...

The game nails the feel and tone of a South Park episode perfectly, minus all the bleeping; It's hilarious

The occasional bout of slowdown can be annoying

South Park: The Stick Of Truth – Review (PS3, 360)

South Park has always been on the edge of controversy from the very first episode, "Cartman gets an anal probe". So it probably didn't come as a surprise to anyone when South Park : The Stick of Truth was finally ready for a release only to earn its own share of controversy.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth Review

Obsidian have done what I had begun to think might be impossible. They've done a real justice to a show that quickly became one of America's best. Much like it's source material, there's equal parts playfulness and horror to " South Park: The Stick of Truth ", and it's that fine balance that makes...

South Park: The Stick of Truth (Xbox 360) Review

won't sway any non-South Park fans onto the series. Nor will it bring regular RPG fans in to check the game out. The game is a perfect tribute to the series and will have fans laughing at the references and jokes from beginning to end. If you've ever been a fan of the series, check this game out.
