Nearly 3 years old and still going strong
What a great phone, I jumped from an iphone 4 all them years ago and havent looked back. It awesome that it is still getting supported by Sony. Now rocking 5.1.1 and probably since 4.2 the best version since then! Sony fixed the bugs that were in 5.0.2!- Easy to use
- Still gorgeous to look and hasnt outdated
- Eventually the waterproofing of the phone will eventually weaken over time as I learnt the hard way but it did drop into the ocean and its still all good and no damage but it has lost its waterproofing

Sony Xperia Z Review
Sony didn't really have the chance to give the Galaxy S3 and HTC One X a good fight last year. This time around, they're looking to take some attention away from the top players by releasing better engineered products.
The water and dust-resistant Xperia Z is Sony's best smartphone. Ever.
The Xperia Z is quite possibly the only Sony smartphone that has ever stirred up a genuine buzz before its release. Boasting a 5in, full HD 1080p display, a 13-megapixel camera and water and dust-resistance, the glass-clad Xperia Z is easily the best smartphone Sony has ever produced.- Dust and water resistant
- Excellent performance & UI
- Good battery life
- Lacklusture viewing angles
- Poor quality loudspeaker
- Camera app slow to open
In true Sony fashion CES 2013's biggest mobile announcement came in the form of the company's new flagship - the Sony Xperia Z. We were a little underwhelmed with the previous flag bearer, the Sony Xperia T which followed on a mere six months from the still wholly capable Sony Xperia S .
- Incredible 1080p screen
- Strong design
- HDR video
- Top notch hardware
Sony Xperia Z Review: Multimedia Powerhouse
Sony is back in the cutting-edge smartphone business with the Xperia Z. Its 5-inch screen has an amazing resolution, and it just might be the fastest phone available.- Excellent and convincing design and device craftsmanship
- Very high display resolution
- Outstanding performance
- especially while playing games and reproducing multimedia
- Dust and water proof
- Display has poor contrast and viewing angles
- Slow camera start
- Imprecise scrolling of heavier web sites
Sony Xperia Z
There's a lot to like about the Sony Xperia Z. It is the strongest Android phone that Sony has produced to date, fusing power, design and features. We don't find Sony's customisations to be too intrusive and the attention to battery life is to be welcomed.- Display
- design
- power control options
- Sony's UI isn't offensive
- waterproof
- Camera performance is average
- might be too big for some
Sony Xperia Z Android phone
Boasting a 5in, full HD 1080p display, excellent performance, good battery life and water and dust-resistance, the glass-clad Xperia Z is easily the best smartphone Sony has ever produced. It's only let down by a poor quality loudspeaker and a screen that has lacklusture viewing angles. Sony Xperia Z review
Sony's handsets tend to frustrate me more often than they please me, showing glimpses of greatness let down by some annoying issues. The Xperia Z, however, gets so much right that my grumbles seem almost wilful.- Fantastic screen
- NFC
- HDMI (MHL link via micro-USB
- 'Small apps
- Lovely design
- Short on internal memory
Sony Xperia Z
The Sony Xperia Z is a very powerful Android smartphone, and is pretty much on the same level as the HTC Butterfly in terms of performance. But, the fact that the Xperia Z is slightly taller and wider than the HTC Butterfly may not be ideal for quite a few users.- Refreshing design
- Water and dust resistant build
- Very good performance
- Full HD display is impressive
- Excellent camera
- Redone UI is neat and more streamlined
- Still not the very latest Android version
- Glass back is prone to scratches
