Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium H8166 64GB
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium - also known in some quarters as the XZ Pro - is a very worthy flagship with a dazzling blend of world-first features and superb performance. It complements the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact phones in the product series.
World-Beating Display
The XZ Premium has a display like no other. It really is astounding, which is no surprise when you consider this is the world's first smartphone with a 4K HDR display.
Better Than Perfect Colour?
The TRILUMINOS Display produces about 138% of the colour spectrum. Seeing is believing!
Image Is Everything
You expect superb images from smartphone cameras these days, and the XZ2 Premium goes above and beyond in providing them from both front and rear cameras. The big talking point is the 19 MP Motion Eye Camera which can detect motion the human eye can't detect. With sensitivity to this degree built into the camera, you can expect sensational results, even in low-light conditions.
Your Music Machine
For a smartphone, the XZ Premium pumps out an awesome sound. There's nothing tinny about the High-Resolution audio which will make you reconsider how you listen to music when you're on the move.
Durable In Every Way
Battery power is strong and long-lasting thanks to its 3,230 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is rated at an impressive IP65/68 water resistance.
Keeping It Humming
All these special features need to be fuelled by a top engine and the XZ2 Premium is well served by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium review
There's no doubt that the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has some interesting things to offer. It namely has a 4K HDR display and excellent rear cameras which can record 4K HDR video, as well as taking excellent photographs. That's great if you're seeking a 4K HDR phone but we're not convinced many people are, and this all comes at a price. We're talking both the £799/$999 literal price tag (especially high for those in the US), but also the highly questionable design which, among other things, is far too thick and heavy. If you're a Sony fan then you may be fine with this sort of sacrifice, but you should check out the XZ3 first, which is a cheaper option. In the wider market, the XZ2 Premium simply has too much competition from similarly priced or cheaper phones like the Huawei P20 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S9 which are far easier to recommend.
