Sadly, the Sony Xperia J's just not worth your time in late 2012: top notch phones that came out earlier this year, like the HTC One X and One S - and even last year's Samsung Galaxy S2 - are around the same price on contract, and much more powerful, and easy on the eye.
Pros:
  • There's a lot to be said for the Sony Xperia J's screen size - four inches, just like the iPhone 5
  • It's not humongous, as many flagship Android phone displays now are (The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 stretches a barely practical 5.5-inches across) - you can reach across it with one hand, and for many...
Cons:
  • While Apple, HTC and Nokia crack on with curvaceous, beautiful designs, Sony's smartphone hardware is starting to feel a little lacklustre
  • The smeary black plastic looks and feels cheap, and though arced at the back, the 9.2mm deep phone seems very chunky indeed.

rubbish no way would i recommend it

Terrible phone, touch screen goes within weeks, very slow, poor quality, not a lot of data usage. The phone itself is 'sloppy', I've had mine around 6 months and I'm already in need of a new one. The phone is awful and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Pros:
  • nothing
Cons:
  • everything

Mm it's ok. It is not a bad phone, the only thing i don't like is the 512MB of ram. But if you have money to buy another better phone than this, buy it. Don't buy this xperia.

Awesome for first six months, creepy thereafter.

This phone worked awesome for the first six months. But, it started irritating me thereafter. The touch-keypad had problems in one alignment line from top to bottom, near the right hand side of phone where the letter 'i' is there in qwerty.

Sony Xperia J Review: In Depth

The Sony Xperia J takes on the mid-range smartphone market head-on with its £200 pricepoint, but don't curb your expectations - £200 can get you quite a lot these days. What does the Xperia J bring to the table? A very stylish chassis for starters.
Pros:
  • Great screen
  • Long lasting battery
  • Beautiful design
Cons:
  • Underpowered for price
  • Stuttery user interface
  • Camera exposure issues
