Industry-leading noise cancellation that's even better
Sony have always been front runners in developing noise cancelling technology, but it seems they've outdone themselves in their WH-1000XM3 headphones. The noise cancellation technology in these headphones is described as "our most advanced ever", with close fitting ear pads and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 combining to ensure that Sony stays ahead of the pack.
Smarter than before
Headphones can be smart, and in the case of the WH-1000XM3 model, they're super smart. Their advanced noise cancelling technology such as Adaptive Sound Control is a prime example, while other smart features include Quick Attention, which quickly turns down music, call sound, and ringtone to allow ambient sound to be heard easily, plus Voice Assistant compatibility and touch control.
Awesome audio
Noise cancellation is one thing...what about the sounds? LDAC, Sony's new wireless audio technology transmits about three times more data than conventional BLUETOOTH wireless audio. This means you can now enjoy audio content that approaches a dedicated wired connection.

The dedicated NC processor in the WH-1000XM3 headphones ensures reproduction of your music is not compromised at any stage, even by processor performance.

Aside from slightly fiddly touch controls, there's really very little to complain about here. The noise cancellation is still absolutely unmatched, and it's backed up audio that's almost as good.
Amazing noise cancelling. Amazing battery life. I really tried to like the sound. But after having high powered audiophile headsets. These just fell flat. For your average user who is always on the go. This is an a amazing headset and should be bought when on sale.
Absolutely amazing!
I decided to treat myself to some noise cancelling headphones. I do a fair bit of travelling on public transport and get irritated by background noise/chatter. I narrowed it down between the Bose QC35 and these Sony WH-1000XM3. When trying them out found that there wasn't much between them.
Great sound quality and noise cancelling
Spent a bit of time researching the best noise cancelling headphones and kept ending up at these. Was not disappointed, amazing sound quality and noise cancelling ability along with a very long battery life. Very nicely finished product with attention to small details that make all the difference.
great headphones
Had these headphones for a few weeks now and so far they've been really impressive. Can't imagine not having them before. I look better than Bose I find the quality of the noise cancelling to be fast superior. And one of the major benefits for me is the 10-minute rapid charge with 5 hours playback.

I recently went on an overseas with 3 connecting flights, combined, the flights took over 24 hours - this headset I believe saved my sanity. It is amazing, and has blocked out much of the ambience noise even in the flight cabin (general chatter, kids crying and whatnot) on top of the engine noise,...
- Sound quality is fantastic and cancels out all sound from outside like traffic or kids playing when I go to sleep during the day! The comfort is ideal for long hours
- And just 5minute charge provides hours of listening! I love it and well worth the money!
- I wish there was a way to turn off the touch pad on the right ear cup
- Accidentally changed music tracks/video just by brushing my arm or hand against it
- That's the only negative and it's not even a big thing
