Sony promise more sound and less noise in these awesome WH-1000XM3 headphones!

Industry-leading noise cancellation that's even better

Sony have always been front runners in developing noise cancelling technology, but it seems they've outdone themselves in their WH-1000XM3 headphones. The noise cancellation technology in these headphones is described as "our most advanced ever", with close fitting ear pads and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 combining to ensure that Sony stays ahead of the pack.

Smarter than before

Headphones can be smart, and in the case of the WH-1000XM3 model, they're super smart. Their advanced noise cancelling technology such as Adaptive Sound Control is a prime example, while other smart features include Quick Attention, which quickly turns down music, call sound, and ringtone to allow ambient sound to be heard easily, plus Voice Assistant compatibility and touch control.

Awesome audio

Noise cancellation is one thing...what about the sounds? LDAC, Sony's new wireless audio technology transmits about three times more data than conventional BLUETOOTH wireless audio. This means you can now enjoy audio content that approaches a dedicated wired connection.

NC is AOK

The dedicated NC processor in the WH-1000XM3 headphones ensures reproduction of your music is not compromised at any stage, even by processor performance.

Head in the clouds

Many of us use headphones while we're flying. Sony understands this so they've introduced Unique Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing to their WH-1000XM3 headphones. This delivers optimal sound at high altitude.

A newer model Sony WH-1000XM4 was released in August 2020.

  • improved sound quality and noise cancelling from the 1000X and 1000XM2, almost nothing to fault in its class

  • bass now has good...
Cons:
  • – The touch controls are still somewhat fiddly for volume and track control
  • they takes some getting used to

I spent most of last year investigating the world of in-ear sports earphones. I haven't had many to look at this year, so I thought it time to look at the other side of the headphone range with some noise-cancelling over the ear cans from Sony – and why start at the bottom of the range when their...

Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black WH-1000XM3B review

Looking for a premium quality pair of headphones? Sony’s WH-1000XM3 are hard to look pass. Right now, within its price point and feature set nothing is touching it. Bose is outdated right now with the QC35/II and while the PX by B/W are great they lack some features.

Sony WH-1000X M3 review: King of the Hill

They don’t reinvent the genre, but the Sony WH-1000X M3s are a classic in the making. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s a timeless adage, and one that’s easier than ever to cite if you’re a tech company. Love it or hate it, we’re currently in an era where the thrills of innovation have fallen to the wayside in favor of the comforts of iteration.
Pros:
  • New copper accents look great
  • Redesigned carry case & USB Type-C Charging
Cons:
  • No major improvement in battery life

Sony Over-Ear Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones (WH1000XM3/B)

Bose QC2 have been officillay de-throned. Sony beats the Bose hands down in noice canceling, sound quality and features. They are also more Comfortable. I've compared both personally. Bose is still a good headphone. If you are looking for the best. Then Sony has done it with these.

There are few products that manage to take a giant step forward with every successive iteration. Sony's 1000XM line of headphones is one such product that not only excels on their own but has taken the competition head-on. The XM2 doubled battery but generally played it safe.
