Big sound for a little speaker!

Nice little speaker. Pairs easily with our tablets and phones. I bought it to set up a radio in the garage and it's easy to move it where you want. I also used it in an older car where I used the Tunein app on my cell phone.

Great Interface; Great Sound; Stylish

Sony SRS-X2 speaker review

If you're after a new Bluetooth speaker , the Sony SRS-X2 is vying for your attention, promising to give you plenty of power in a light and tiny package that can go almost anywhere with you. At under £79, can it beat its closest rivals in the sound department? Let's find out.

Sony has crafted a solid speaker with the SRS-X2 that can be easily thrown in your bag, it's handily rugged for outdoor adventures and it boasts impressive sound for its size too. Its battery life isn't the best though, but for the price, if you're after a tiny speaker with big sound it's well worth...

The Sony SRS-X2 is one of the Japanese tech giant's latest Bluetooth speakers, and while it's the smallest in the line-up, it still manages to pack a hefty punch; It sports a slick design with curved edges, a rubberised outer shell and a smart dotted speaker grille, making for an ideal outdoor...

We were pleasantly surprised with the Sony SRS-X2; as it manages to boast brilliant sound in a small package; but one of our complaints is that it's largely directional in one way.

Good things come in small packages!

Purchased this unit for use in the kitchen. Absolutely blown away by the sound quality for the price as we were looking at Bose sound link for three times the amount but listened to this unit in store. Comes with a pouch if we want to take it away with us.

Good Product

I found the product to be good. Before the purchase I had a doubt whether the sound quality will be good and loud or not. But its more than enough even in my huge living room room as well. Worth the price.

Sony SRS-X2 Review: Solid-Sounding Bluetooth Speaker

The Sony SRS-X2 has a lot going for it. At just $80, it's less expensive than the $100 Mini Jambox, and it produces better overall sound than similarly priced Bluetooth speakers. In exchange, you get a less-portable unit and less battery life.

Rich bass; Loud enough to fill a large room

Vocals can get lost in the mix; Shorter battery life than competition

Great sound.

This is an update to my review of 3/27/2015. I had issues connecting a wired source, and the unit would shut off without rhyme or reason. I solved these by just increasing the volume of my source, and now these are reliable and easy to use. I bought two based on reviews on other sites.

Now that I've had this for a few days, I have worked out the issues I had; The unit can be operated by internal battery, so there is an auto-shutoff if no sound is present

1; The unit came without any instructions; Visit the Sony eSupport site and under "manuals" look at the Help file; 2; The unit will auto-shutoff if the source material is played at low volume
