Awesome Power, needs games

The Vita has awesome power to play amazing games. Really good for on the go. However at this stage needs more support from Sony and more games. These will come. But its a shame because the Vita is a powerhouse and has amazing gaming capabilities. It really provides more then a smartphone can do.

Bought my PS Vita 4 days ago. Have had the predecessor PSP 3000 in some years so this was a big step up. The graphics, the screen and the sound is razor sharp. Touch screen is also surprisingly good.

Sony PlayStation Vita (Wi-Fi)

Sony has finally come out with its replacement for the PlayStation Portable, and it's impressive. The PlayStation Vita takes the PSP's signature design and adds more processing power, optional 3G, dual analog sticks, and an amazingly bright, colorful OLED screen.

Powerful graphics; Beautiful screen; Dual analog sticks

Short battery life, and battery isn't removable; Proprietary memory card; Clunky media manager

SONY COMPUTER PlayStation PS Vita Wifi console

the Sony PS Vita is the long-awaited follow-up to the flawed PlayStation. The gaming industry may be more lucrative than ever before, but the market is increasingly casual, not to mention time- and cash-poor. What chance does a £200+ dedicated device rocking £40+ games really have?

Love Five-inch OLED touch screen; Quadcore processor.

Hate Expensive; Fiddly card ports.

Sony PlayStation Vita Review

I am always excited when I get a chance to relive my childhood with handheld gaming . Of course every little kid has played a very simplistic type of handheld game like racing cars or shooting basketballs. To see how far we have come from that is astonishing.

Though highly expensive, but coming from Sony, the PlayStation Vita offers a completely different experience amongst the gaming consoles that are handheld. Again as gaming console it definitely has great potential, but at the hefty price tag that accompanies it, better all round performance would...

Excellent display that is loved by hardcore gamers; Its 5″ inch 960 x 544 resolution HD multi touch OLED display is highly appreciated by all, Has 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 options, which enables easy connectivity for gamers, Comes with dual analogue stick, Also has rear touch pad which gives an...

The memory card accompaniments for Vita is very expensive and gamers have to buy this to save their game data; Its battery life is just 4 hours which is not worth the price spent on the device; Comes with a very basic camera; which is way too basic for shooting and recording purposes; Expensive for...

In a post-App Store world, is there still room for a dedicated handheld games console? The Nintendo 3DS answered that question with a definite "maybe", struggling at launch before picking up speed after a substantial price cut.

Excellent hardware; Powerful

Sony PlayStation Vita (3G/Wi-Fi) Review

Since even before Day One, I've been a fan of Sony Computer Entertainment America 's PlayStation Portable, or PSP . Leveraging the strengths and lessons learned from the original PlayStation and PlayStation 2, and creating a handheld device that would one day work well with the PlayStation 3, SCEA...

Big; beautiful OLED screen; Lots to play; lots to watch; lots to do; A new generation of interactivity and interoperability

3G buy-in and usage adds cost; as does highly touted cross-platform play; Backward compatibility quite buggy so far; No Flash support; where have we heard that before...

Sony PS Vita 3G + WiFi

The PS Vita is actually a pretty well thought out product. I loved the PSP despite the fact that it has some major issues such as the browser performance. However, I think the PS Vita has taken quite a step forward to solving the previous issues.
