Sony PlayStation Vita PCH-2000 Review

The PlayStation Vita PCH-2000 is a major improvement over the original Vita. It is lighter and more comfortable in the hands, and its battery lasts between four and six hours. However, its downgraded LCD touchscreen is less crisp than the original Vita's OLED screen.

The PlayStation Vita PCH-2000 retains its remote play capabilities with the PlayStation 4 while offering a lighter design and better battery life

The Vita Slim still uses expensive proprietary memory cards and has a downgraded LCD touchscreen

Sony PlayStation Vita Review

I am always excited when I get a chance to relive my childhood with handheld gaming . Of course every little kid has played a very simplistic type of handheld game like racing cars or shooting basketballs. To see how far we have come from that is astonishing.

Though highly expensive, but coming from Sony, the PlayStation Vita offers a completely different experience amongst the gaming consoles that are handheld. Again as gaming console it definitely has great potential, but at the hefty price tag that accompanies it, better all round performance would...

Excellent display that is loved by hardcore gamers; Its 5″ inch 960 x 544 resolution HD multi touch OLED display is highly appreciated by all, Has 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 options, which enables easy connectivity for gamers, Comes with dual analogue stick, Also has rear touch pad which gives an...

The memory card accompaniments for Vita is very expensive and gamers have to buy this to save their game data; Its battery life is just 4 hours which is not worth the price spent on the device; Comes with a very basic camera; which is way too basic for shooting and recording purposes; Expensive for...

Great Handheld at a Convenient Price

Earlier the Play Station Vita was an impossible choice due to its low range of games and high price. But with PS 4 - PS Vita connectivity, a really good remote play feature is available which can play nearly all Play Station 4 games on the go.

In a post-App Store world, is there still room for a dedicated handheld games console? The Nintendo 3DS answered that question with a definite "maybe", struggling at launch before picking up speed after a substantial price cut.

Sony PlayStation Vita Review: Taking Mobile Gaming to a New Level

The Sony PlayStation Vita is a very capable mobile gaming console, but it's more than that as well -- it boasts a web browser, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even optional 3G[...]

5-inch OLED screen is a thing of beauty; Quad-core processor delivers plenty of speed and power; 3G enables a better social gaming experience with the near app; local challenges; etc; Completely redesigned UI is intuitive and efficient; Front and rear touchscreen input plus motion control and two...

High cost may be an issue for a dedicated gaming device; Proprietary charge/sync connector and large AC adapter are annoying; No on-board memory; so you'll need a memory card for game saves and media; Speakers somewhat underpowered; though they are relatively good quality with distortion at only the...

Sony Playstation Vita

JAPANESE ELECTRONICS MAKER Sony is in dire need of a hit, with the Xperia Play smartphone failing to live up to expectations and the firm fresh from posting a $2bn loss. The Playstation (PS) Vita is the biggest upgrade to Sony's portable console range to date, bringing the performance that magical...

Console gaming in the palm of your hand; unrivaled handheld device specifications; backwards compatibility with PSP games; impressive 5in screen; variety of controls; no gimmicky 3D effects in sight; 3G version available

Poor internet; fiddly transfer of data; no multitasking; no removable battery; Chunky; but far from ugly

Bought my PS Vita 4 days ago. Have had the predecessor PSP 3000 in some years so this was a big step up. The graphics, the screen and the sound is razor sharp. Touch screen is also surprisingly good.
