About a third smaller than the original PS4 and a third more energy efficient, it drops the two-tone matte-and-shiny finish of the first PlayStation 4 and removed the indicator light strip in favour of an all-matte black console.
The PS4 Slim might be a streamlined gaming device but there's a lot of good stuff happening inside it!
Amazing HDR visuals are bursting with vivid and vibrant colours that really make you feel part of the action. Speaking of great visuals, the slimline console looks extra good and is available in a range of colours: Jet Black, Glacier White, Gold and Silver.
The new interface makes it even easier to organise your games and apps, and share with your friends. Store your games, apps, screenshots and videos with 500GB and 1TB options.
Playing, sharing and hanging out with fellow gamers, no matter where they are, is a key function of the PS4 Slim console. And with Share Play, you can challenge a friend to multiplayer matches or let them play for you, even if they don’t own the game.
With Remote Play, you can stream games to all sorts of devices: PC, Mac, PlayStation Vita or Sony Xperia over your home WiFi network. You can play virtually anywhere, with no need to be stuck in front of the TV.
If you want to show everyone how good you are, you can stream your gameplay and broadcast live via Twitch, YouTube or DailyMotion. To wow them even more, you can share screenshots and videos of your biggest triumphs on Twitter and Facebook.
Regular system software updates means your PS4 Slim will constantly introduce you to cool new features and even more ways to connect, share and play.

Aside from those issues, however, the PS4 Slim is everything you'd expect it to be. It would have been nice to see Sony adopt Microsoft's stance and add some new features, but in truth, it really didn't need to.
Now slimmer than ever, the refreshed PlayStation 4 fortifies Sony's iconic gaming platform.
Faster Wi-Fi can make a big difference; Smaller chassis with fun design; Same great PS4 game library; More affordable than ever
No more optical port; More powerful PS4 console also available
After selling over 40 million consoles, Sony is refreshing the PlayStation 4 . That starts with the PlayStation 4 Slim, available now for $299, along with the PlayStation VR headset (out next month) and the higher-powered PS4 Pro, which comes out in November.
i'm really very happy..?THANK YOU. snapdeal
Love the new console. Has everything I need with plenty of storage for me

Really this system is nothing but improvements over the launch PS4. If you're looking into getting a PlayStation for the exclusives or you're on a tight budget, this bundle is a wonderful gateway drug (heh). If you're getting a PS4 because you want great graphics and virtual reality
Right off the bat it looks way better in person than in pictures, it's a very minimalist design compared to the launch model, which I'm a fan of; Plus due to it being an entirely matte finish (minus the PlayStation logo), it's more fingerprint resistant than the launch PS4.
The rear hard drive tray door comes of somewhat easily; I haven't had any problems but I've heard other people have
When Sony unveiled two new versions of the PS4 during its special PlayStation Meeting in New York it rather glossed over the new, slimmer version of the console, dubbed the PS4 Slim. The company understandably put greater focus on the higher-specified 4K gaming powerhouse that is the PS4 Pro .
Smaller device than original PS4 that's easy to hide out of the way; new DualShock 4 controller with USB communication; easier to swap out hard drive than before; capable of HDR gaming
Not the prettiest machine on the market; no optical digital audio output; a mere 500GB HDD; no 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player; Pro's added power makes it the more obvious choice
There are really only three things you need to know about the PlayStation 4 Slim. If none of that quite makes sense, don't worry. Here's why Sony currently has two PlayStations on the market, and how they differ from one another.
The newer PS4 has a smaller footprint, slick design, quieter operation and keeps intact all of the PS4 awesomeness it's offered since 2013; The slightly updated DualShock4 controller is a bonus
The slim PS4 loses its optical audio port, which will be a bummer for third-party headphone users; The somewhat pricier PS4 Pro delivers a larger hard drive and the promise of better graphics
