The PS4 Slim might be a streamlined gaming device but there's a lot of good stuff happening inside it!
Amazing HDR visuals are bursting with vivid and vibrant colours that really make you feel part of the action. Speaking of great visuals, the slimline console looks extra good and is available in a range of colours: Jet Black, Glacier White, Gold and Silver.
The new interface makes it even easier to organise your games and apps, and share with your friends. Store your games, apps, screenshots and videos with 500GB and 1TB options.
Playing, sharing and hanging out with fellow gamers, no matter where they are, is a key function of the PS4 Slim console. And with Share Play, you can challenge a friend to multiplayer matches or let them play for you, even if they don’t own the game.
With Remote Play, you can stream games to all sorts of devices: PC, Mac, PlayStation Vita or Sony Xperia over your home WiFi network. You can play virtually anywhere, with no need to be stuck in front of the TV.
If you want to show everyone how good you are, you can stream your gameplay and broadcast live via Twitch, YouTube or DailyMotion. To wow them even more, you can share screenshots and videos of your biggest triumphs on Twitter and Facebook.
Regular system software updates means your PS4 Slim will constantly introduce you to cool new features and even more ways to connect, share and play.

Sony PS4 (PlayStation 4) is the fourth home gaming platform from Sony and will open along with the Xbox One of Microsoft’s new generation of game consoles. Featuring a clean design meant to adapt well to all homes, a compartment powerful hardware and able to offer games with smoother and better...
Sony’s PlayStation 4: what most in the business call the actual coming of the next generation of gaming – somewhat not including the Wii U in there for some reason – is finally upon us. We now know everything that, up until this point, could have been argued to the nth degree as speculation.
As we said in the beginning, seven years have passed since the PlayStation 3 came out. It will probably stay around for a few more years, but PlayStation 4 is here to take over. All eyes are now on Sony’s new console and Microsoft’s new Xbox One.
Sony has ignored its rival's attempts to take over the living room, as Microsoft integrates media services such as television into the Xbox One. Instead, the Japanese giant plans to focus the PlayStation 4's abilities on pure gaming.
True gamers have always been early adopters, but I believe the next-generation of gaming is still a year or more away when it comes to game design and making the most out of the amazing system Sony has delivered.
Positives Great new design; incredible controller; integrated sharing and streaming; cool remote and second screen features
Negatives Online now requires PS Plus subscription; limited export capabilities; no Bluetooth/IR support for headsets or remotes; poor library management; weak launch lineup; no MP3 or DNLA support
Hot on the heels of the Xbox One, Sony’s new console releases this week. Tom Hoggins assesses the merits of the new PlayStation
PS4 redefines rich and immersive gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, intelligent personalization, deeply integrated social capabilities, and innovative second-screen features, all combined with cloud technology.
Next-gen gaming is a glorious reality but you’ll have to make do without some last-gen features
Simple set-up and interface; Games look and sound great; Good selection of TV; film and music apps; Decent AV performance
No 3D Blu-ray; CD or DLNA support; Not as good as a dedicated disc player
I have spent an extensively long amount of time with this system and I will not hesitate in suggesting you take your 400 dollars and buy this console as soon as you can. Powerful as most gaming PCs, nice interface that isn’t too confusing.
