Sony has unveiled two new versions of the PlayStation 4 console in an unprecedented move that points to console makers' increasing focus on software and services. The slimmer PS4 and PS4 Pro were unveiled at an event on Thursday.
The PS4 Slim might be a streamlined gaming device but there's a lot of good stuff happening inside it!
Amazing HDR visuals are bursting with vivid and vibrant colours that really make you feel part of the action. Speaking of great visuals, the slimline console looks extra good and is available in a range of colours: Jet Black, Glacier White, Gold and Silver.
The new interface makes it even easier to organise your games and apps, and share with your friends. Store your games, apps, screenshots and videos with 500GB and 1TB options.
Playing, sharing and hanging out with fellow gamers, no matter where they are, is a key function of the PS4 Slim console. And with Share Play, you can challenge a friend to multiplayer matches or let them play for you, even if they don’t own the game.
With Remote Play, you can stream games to all sorts of devices: PC, Mac, PlayStation Vita or Sony Xperia over your home WiFi network. You can play virtually anywhere, with no need to be stuck in front of the TV.
If you want to show everyone how good you are, you can stream your gameplay and broadcast live via Twitch, YouTube or DailyMotion. To wow them even more, you can share screenshots and videos of your biggest triumphs on Twitter and Facebook.
Regular system software updates means your PS4 Slim will constantly introduce you to cool new features and even more ways to connect, share and play.

The Spider Man PS4 game is awesome! So much to do, great graphics, hours of fun. PS4 is basicly what you expect: a quality system for good gaming. A little disappointed for reasons that I cannot share...but if you saw the Walmart Black Friday ad, you would know. All in all, solid game system.
The PS4 Slim (given the technical title of CUH-2000) represents the new standard PlayStation 4 console. It's a hardware revamp that incorporates a makeover of both console and controller.
Incredibly quiet; Much more energy efficient; Looks lovely; Easier to expand HDD space
Controller analogue sticks still not durable enough; The PS4 Pro makes this a tough sell to dedicated fans
Update: If you're looking forward to seeing what's coming next from PlayStation, then you'll need to wait for Paris Games Week, an event taking place in October. Sony has announced that it's not planning on announcing anything big at Gamescom 2017 , and will instead be focussing on the French show.

I've been wanting the most current console and games for years now and have just been able to afford it (with some discount); I haven't found anything to be disappointed by yet! Really enjoying it
Console; games and extras like controller are very pricey but that's just the way it is
Aside from those issues, however, the PS4 Slim is everything you'd expect it to be. It would have been nice to see Sony adopt Microsoft's stance and add some new features, but in truth, it really didn't need to.
I like that you can play a game that your friend has and you don't have to have it also I like the way you can change the theme; Another thing you can play games with updating them
I didn't like that most of the updates were like 3 hours long; I came from Xbox where the updates didn't take that long but apart from that it's great
Hey hey hey!
Whisper quiet; Smaller and lighter; Still a PlayStation 4; Easy access to the hard drive
No optical output; Comes with a 500GB hard drive
I've been using the PlayStation 4 for several weeks now and it doesn't disappoint, all the usual Sony quality, Top gaming!!! FIFA 18 just gets better and better, superb!!
