Aside from those issues, however, the PS4 Slim is everything you'd expect it to be. It would have been nice to see Sony adopt Microsoft's stance and add some new features, but in truth, it really didn't need to.
The PS4 Slim might be a streamlined gaming device but there's a lot of good stuff happening inside it!
Amazing HDR visuals are bursting with vivid and vibrant colours that really make you feel part of the action. Speaking of great visuals, the slimline console looks extra good and is available in a range of colours: Jet Black, Glacier White, Gold and Silver.
The new interface makes it even easier to organise your games and apps, and share with your friends. Store your games, apps, screenshots and videos with 500GB and 1TB options.
Playing, sharing and hanging out with fellow gamers, no matter where they are, is a key function of the PS4 Slim console. And with Share Play, you can challenge a friend to multiplayer matches or let them play for you, even if they don’t own the game.
With Remote Play, you can stream games to all sorts of devices: PC, Mac, PlayStation Vita or Sony Xperia over your home WiFi network. You can play virtually anywhere, with no need to be stuck in front of the TV.
If you want to show everyone how good you are, you can stream your gameplay and broadcast live via Twitch, YouTube or DailyMotion. To wow them even more, you can share screenshots and videos of your biggest triumphs on Twitter and Facebook.
Regular system software updates means your PS4 Slim will constantly introduce you to cool new features and even more ways to connect, share and play.

Four years down the line and 40 million units sold, the PS4 has been a great success for Sony. By focussing on games first and foremost, the Japanese entertainment giant as managed to quickly rebuild a customer base that was severely depleted thanks to the pretty large mistakes made with the...
Great gaming platform; Good value for money; Controller could be best ever; Same amazing gaming library
Optical audio port removed; Still not sure on aesthetics
Good console with a nice slim design and fantastic exclusive single player story based games. but i wish it could play music CDs and also i wish it was backwards compatible and i dont like how they took Vidzone off the PlayStation entertainment network.
This review was last updated by Digital Trends contributor Cody Perez on 5/15/2020. Three years after the launch of the PlayStation 4, Sony revisited its aging console to give it a new lease on life. As with previous PlayStations, the refreshed console has a slimmer new look, a few new features, and even some minor internal upgrades. Unlike past generations, however, the new version of the console came at a tumultuous time for the PlayStation brand. There are currently not one but three new PlayStation devices: this revised PlayStation 4, a 4K-compatible version of the PS4 called the PlayStation 4 Pro, and a PlayStation VR headset that will work in conjunction with any PlayStation 4 device. Not to mention, the PS5 that will kick off the next generation of consoles later this year. The “Slim” might appear underwhelming beside such ambitious brothers. It’s designed more to lure in players who haven’t bought a modern console yet than to appeal to current PS4 owners. Nobody wants to buy th...
Faster Wi-Fi can make a big difference; Smaller chassis with fun design; Same great PS4 game library; More affordable than ever;
No more optical port; More powerful PS4 console also available;
Excellent product. Great value for money. I just love the product.
The Spider Man PS4 game is awesome! So much to do, great graphics, hours of fun. PS4 is basicly what you expect: a quality system for good gaming. A little disappointed for reasons that I cannot share...but if you saw the Walmart Black Friday ad, you would know. All in all, solid game system.
Slick finish and loving this ps4.
Bad bad experience. NO FREE GAME CDs provided in the box for which I was charged for. As per product description should have been pasted outside the box?
