It is hard to say something is perfect but hear goes. Extremely comfortable to wear. Aesthetically pleasing. Not too heavy. Battery time is good. Sound quality is excellent. On par with b&w headphones. Love them.

Very nice Headphone. I am a music lover so i prefer to SONY MDR 1000X. It is much better than BOSE QC35. So i love this Headphone. I am using ATH M50X from last 4 months that's very nice but bass is slightly low in ATH M50X. But in this (SONY MDR 1000X) case all is very well. So cool voice.
Was after a pair of noise cancelling headphones for an upcoming holiday so tried to justify some for the flight. Researched between QC35s and these and based on features I thought that these would be better for me. Sound quality is excellent.
"We love the sound quality of the MDR-1000X. Paired with the perfect fit and eliminating of the background noise, it really gives your music room to be heard." Full review
Plush comfort, excellent noise cancelling, and superb sound put Sony's MDR-1000x at the head of the wireless class.
Dynamic highs and punchy bass; Extremely comfortable; Great battery life; Thoughtful real-world features
Touch controls don't always work perfectly
You have to admire Sony's chutzpah. The press release for the Sony MDR-1000X wireless headphones claims they offer "industry leading levels of noise-cancelling".
Impressive noise-cancelling; Excellent Bluetooth audio; Balanced; expressive sound; Clever features; 20-hour battery life
Touch controls can be hit and miss
Wireless over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. This is hardly a new territory for a company of Sony's stature, but nonetheless this is a decided move to dominate this end of the market.
Light and comfortable; Excellent noise-cancelation; Superb sound quality; Adjustable ANC level; Excellent mic for calls; Long battery life
There's a knack to the touch controls
Sony might be a noise-cancelling newbie but the MDR-1000Xs should have more established rivals sweating – on both sound quality and noise-killing efficacy, these cans are superb.
Impressive noise-cancelling; Superb wireless sound quality; Balanced sound and long battery life
Touch controls are hit and miss
Sony, the company that invented the Walkman and re-defined portable audio, has always been a strong player in the headphone market and the new MDR-1000X is one of its best ever. Noise-cancelling wireless headphones are something discerning audio fans don't mind spending a few bucks on.
Design; excellent audio quality; brilliant noise cancellation; great controls; audio upscaling; long battery life
They're not cheap
I loved those. It looks nice, it sounds nice. You can smell the quality :)
