Great sound with comfortable ear pads

Love these headphones Sound is precise and clear Only thing I'd say is they could be bit smaller fit over the head Just fit mine on the tightest They are fairly weighty not light But robust and have long lasting battery life There's safe mode so you can hear your surroundings Pop your right hand...

MDR 1000x not charging after 4-5 months.

The overall performance of the headphones and material are great. However, today they are not able to charge. I have tried the solutions provided by this website and nothing happened. I don't know if an old battery was used or why it does not charge. It could have been a bad one out of the batch.

My personal favourite but with a fatal flaw

I own both MDR1000-X and QC35s. Bought the Sonys first and was very happy until my first long haul flight when I realised they cannot be used in noise-cancelling mode only, as they switch off after about 10 minutes with no audio input.

Bluetooth sound quality; effectiveness of noise cancelling; very comfortable

Auto power off

Sony MDR -1000X Over-ear Wireless Active Noise-Cancelling headphones - Black

These are well built and very functional. The sound whilst not up to the quality of my wired AKGs is great for bluetooth headphones. They also have useful features that are mentioned in the listing and they suck out outside noise.

With best-in class noise-cancelling (comparable to the QC35), competitive price and great sound quality, the S$599 Sony MDR-1000X lives up to its reputation with great performance throughout my tests.

Superb

Superb. Excellent sound quality and noise cancelling. I recently used these on a flight where the plane had propellers, and I sat right by one. Very noisy, but these headphones block the majority out, even when not playing music.

Sony MDR-1000X Bluetooth Headphones

With some fancy new technology, the Sony MDR-100X are pretty fantastic at noise-cancelling, but the overall sound quality is disappointing.

Excellent noise cancellation; Clever environmental awareness modes; Sony's LDAC streams hi-res audio over Bluetooth with compatible source

Sound lacks sparkle in the highs and presence in low mids; Muddy sound in passive mode; Heavy build can get fatiguing over long periods

Amazing noise cancelling, rich, full sound

Between Sony's MDR-1000x and the Bose Q35, its my opinion that Sony takes the cake. Testing both out in a noisy electronics store (music playing in the back ground, PA making announcements, people talking, etc) There was extreme background silence with Sony's Noise cancelling system.

Outstanding noise cancelling; rich; full sound

Ear drums can ache at times...and not due to loud play back but possibly sound wave compression due to such a tight seal around the ears (this is my untrained ear's opinion) Wife did not experience this; and I do not every time; just a couple times so far.
