Sony MDR-1000X

I'm glad that at least I got mine for 215 USD in sealed box. But again, I think I wasted my money. The headset is annoying, mostly because of the creaks and functionality. It does sound decent.. but that's where it ends. Durability and construction are on the cheap side.

Amazing noise cancelling, rich, full sound

Between Sony's MDR-1000x and the Bose Q35, its my opinion that Sony takes the cake. Testing both out in a noisy electronics store (music playing in the back ground, PA making announcements, people talking, etc) There was extreme background silence with Sony's Noise cancelling system.

Outstanding noise cancelling; rich; full sound

Ear drums can ache at times...and not due to loud play back but possibly sound wave compression due to such a tight seal around the ears (this is my untrained ear's opinion) Wife did not experience this; and I do not every time; just a couple times so far.

Sony MDR-1000X Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones

Times are changing for headphone reviewers. For years, a review of any headphone with active noise canceling had to include two things: a discussion about how much worse the headphones sound with ANC activated, and the mandatory "while not as good as Bose…" caveat.…

Sony MDR-1000X Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones

The Sony MDR-1000X is an absolutely terrific looking and comfortable wireless, noise canceling headphone. The feature set includes controls to achieve various levels of isolation from the outside world.

Worth every penny !

These are the best headphones I have ever used ! The noise cancelling feature provides you with a whole new level / world. They are very comfortable, I can keep listening (with Noise Cancelling ON) for hours without any discomfort. It works great on either Bluetooth or wired audio connection.

Sony MDR-1000X

The Sony MDR-1000X have all the pillars of good noise-cancelling headphones : they sound great, work well and are extremely comfortable. They are also wireless, which makes them a good choice for traveling and commuting.

Both with and without active noise cancelling; these headphones blocked the most external sound in our tests

The four-hour charge time is longer than most and could be a hassle when traveling or if you have a limited number of outlets

Sony MDR-1000X review: no noise is good noise

Enter the Sony MDR-1000X Acoustic Noise Canceling headphones, which have a feature I truly appreciate: the ability to hear outside your...

With best-in class noise-cancelling (comparable to the QC35), competitive price and great sound quality, the S$599 Sony MDR-1000X lives up to its reputation with great performance throughout my tests.

My personal favourite but with a fatal flaw

I own both MDR1000-X and QC35s. Bought the Sonys first and was very happy until my first long haul flight when I realised they cannot be used in noise-cancelling mode only, as they switch off after about 10 minutes with no audio input.

Bluetooth sound quality; effectiveness of noise cancelling; very comfortable
