Absolutely Knife sharp

I got lucky to get the lens so early. What a beast of a lens. Took out to the park and it it performed amazing. Shot a wedding with it and it was great. I had to get used to the distance from subject on full body portraits. Cant wait to shoot with it again.

Sample Pics w/Sony A99II

This lens just arrived so I popped it onto my Sony A99II and snapped some sample pics which I'll upload as part of this review. First impressions: stunning images, somewhat heavy lens (which I do not mind as weight often comes with qualit) with overall gorgeous lens aesthetics.

Best lens in my collection

WOW is the word that can describe this lens. As soon as I got this lens home, took a test shot and was amazed by picture quality. Attached the test shot to this review.. This is the lens that always stays on my A900.

Amazing sharpness; bokeh and contrast

1; Focus ring - could have been better - very slight wobble / 2; SSM and weather sealing would be nice

Allready at 1.8 high contrast and sharpness. The Nikon- and Canon-likes reach this level at f: 4 or 5.6. You don't need to stop down for a lot of higher contrast and sharpness. Ideal for setting subjects and objects free in cities and landscapes and to use depth of field in a creative way.

See above; Build like a tank

Faultless

This is a very fine lens. The sharpness is incredible and impressive for maintaining such a high level not only through the aperture range but from close to far distances. Focus speed is at a pro level response. Resistance to flare, ghosting, veil, etc. is very high.

Sony FE 135mm f1.8 GM review

The FE 135mm f1.8 G Master is another valuable addition to the Sony line-up, filling an important gap in the catalogue for portrait and event shooters. Like other recent G Master lenses, it confidently delivers on its promise of sharp details across the frame, both near and far, with attractive...

¡¡¡Awesome Lens!!!

Awesome lens!!! It does take a little getting used to in that you have to stand a little further back from you subject to obtain the same composure as an 85 mm or 50 mm lens. The clarity is outstanding and this is sure to be my new favorite lens.

Too many to state along with awesome clarity; quality build; outstanding Bokeh

Heavy - not necessarily a con; but you will definitely get a workout from carrying this solid lens

Sony SAL135F18Z 135mm F1.8 Sonnar T* Lens

One of the first Carl Zeiss lenses to go on sale for the Sony DSLRA100 camera, the 135mm F1.8 Sonnar T* is relatively large and heavy, with a massive front element. It's also extremely well-built, as you'd expect from a high-quality prime lens with a longish focal length.

What We Love. The Sony FE 135mm F/1.8 GM is brilliant, and it is an invaluable tool for portrait photographers. Sony's got it equipped with rugged build and weather-sealing to make it field ready as well as features like a focus range limiter switch, an aperture de-click switch, an aperture control...

Excellent image quality; Stunning bokeh; Rugged built; Fast; quiet and accurate AF; Weather resistance; Aperture control ring; Hardly any chromatic aberration

Some ghosting and flare; Pricey; No built-in stabilization
