Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 V
The 20 MP camera sensor remains the same, but the image processor is more powerful than previous generations.
Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 V is a compact camera that easily fits in your pocket. It carries a rather high price tag, but Sony still offers good value for money.

Sony RX100 V review: The fastest shooter in the West
The Sony RX100 series is probably the most important development in camera design this decade. These cameras deliver something previously thought to be impossible: true SLR quality in a camera small and light enough to fit in a jeans pocket.- Outstanding image and video quality
- Genuinely pocket-sized
- Record-breaking performance
- Relatively small zoom range
- No touchscreen
- High price

Sony RX100 V
Sony RX100 V remains as the most advanced compact camera, allowing casual photographers to capture HFR footages and continuously focus and capture moving objects at 24 fps. If these 2 features are not important, then there are other brands and models that are equally capable in capturing good images...
Sony RX100 V review: Impressive, but resting on its laurels
Sony has completely owned the high-end compact camera market since the launch of the original RX100 back in 2012 . From the third-gen model , it tore up what a palm-sized compact could do by introducing a built-in electronic viewfinder and faster lens.- Great lens and image quality
- palm-sized portability
- built-in viewfinder
- tilt-angle LCD screen
- fast burst mode and notable autofocus improvement
- Still no touchscreen control
- movie button position
- autofocus still basic in some modes
- no aperture ring
- finder assembly per use
- huge expense
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V
Sony continues to update its premium RX100 pocket camera series on a yearly basis. The latest edition, the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V ($999.99), uses the same lens and body design as models dating back to 2014's RX100 III , but adds a vastly improved phase detect autofocus system and ups the burst...- 1-inch image sensor
- Wide-aperture zoom lens
- Strong low-light performance
- Quick autofocus
- 24fps burst shooting
- Raw shooting support
- Customizable controls
- Tilting LCD
- Pop-up OLED EVF
- Wi-Fi with NFC
- Super slow-motion HD video
- 4K recording
- Very expensive
- Competing models have longer zoom lenses
- Omits hot shoe
- Lacks touch screen
- Long times to clear buffer and render HFR video
Excellent camera! The package came in time
Excellent camera! The package came in time, and with all additional stuff as was advertised. Good thing 2 extra batteries added to the package, very usefull. No complains about camera so far.
High Quality Camera
Very pleased with first results from the camera - it is small (heavy compared with other cameras at this size) and very expensive, but brings together a large sensor with a proper viewfinder and a built-in flash. Very expensive, but a quality product.
Sony Cyber-shot RX100 V Review
If there's ever been a point-and-shoot that deserves a high price tag, it's Sony's RX100 Mark V.- 24 fps continuous shooting
- Improved 20.1MP 1-inch-type stacked sensor
- 4K video
- Compact
- portable design
- Nifty super-slow-motion mode
- High price for a point-and-shoot
- Poor battery life
- Focal length could be longer
A pocket sized powerhouse
I'd been having an argument with myself about buying one of these for many months and, now I have taken the plunge, I couldn't be more happy. It's reasurringly weighty and oozes quality. I've only tried a few of the function so far, but the pictures have been excellent.
My return to Sony Cybershot
Ive had 3-4 Cybershots in the past, and always liked them. Got on the Lumix train, and am quite fond of those but this Cybershot RX-100VA caught my eye and checked most of the right boxes this time.- Image quality Easy navigate menus On-board menu descriptions/interface Easy wi-fi transfers Reputation of the entire RX series
- Battery life No touch screen In-cam battery charging Very minimal included (printed) documentation Should include the optional rubber "grip" which Ive since added
- as standard (come on Sony...seriously
