Sony Cybershot DSC-HX350
The new Sony Cybershot DSC-HX350 offers 50x optical zoom, which makes it a really suitable compact camera for shooting when travelling or tracking the outdoors. It also offers an ergonomic grip through its DSLR-like body.
The camera resolution is 20.4 MP and DSC-HX350 employs an Exmor R CMOS sensor.

Quality Camera but lacking a few features..

Very pleased with this camera.
Small enough to be easily portable. Enough features and quality for it to be an excellent camera. I'll still carry on using my Canon with interchangeable lenses, but this camera with its digital zoom is an excellent back up for when I need to travel light.

Quite pleased
Bought this as a replacement for my old Sonny HX 300 which broke, after an accident. This new one isn't anyway nearly good as the model that preceded it it hasn't got any of the in camera editing features the HX300 has. (Unless of course I just can't find them)!

I did not expect much because of the sensor size but the pictures taken are quite beautiful and impressive. The butterfly pictures were taken at the 215mm (=1200mm for 35mm camera) without tripod. I am still learning more functions. Butterfly 1 Butterfly 2 Golden Fish

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX350
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX350 is a new bridge camera which features a Zeiss 50x optical zoom lens, and a 20.4 megapixel, 1/2.3-inch sensor. It follows on from the HX300, with only minor upgrades compared to the older version which was released back in 2013.

There are very few reasons for someone to buy a compact camera these days. That the device is compact is certainly not one of them, for you have the smartphone in your hand to fit that bill.
