Disappointed

Even though the camera was in a plastic cover, the lens was dirty when i got the item. Then i asked for a replacement. The second product was also the same. This time they forgot to package the free carry bag. Still no idea how the lens got dirty. Any way I asked for refund.

I received the Sony DSC-H400 as a gift for Easter 2016. I was happy initially with it as a great camera to learn manual settings on and tune my photography skills. However, by December (the first day of a vacation no less) it stopped reading the memory card and I will be in the middle of taking a...

Good camera

So I'm not an advanced photographer at all but I have loved using this camera as a step up into taking nicer photos. This camera is easy to use and easy to figure out. The book that comes with it leaves something to be desired but you can basically figure out all of the functions of your camera...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H400 review

Not a million miles away from the chunky look and feel of one of the best bridge cameras in recent memory, namely Sony's RX10 , the H400 could be viewed as the budget version at a very affordable £249.

Pinch yourself; a 63x optical zoom for under £250! Solid and weighty build; standard manual features alongside fully automatic operation

Bulky; video resolution limited to a maximum 1280x720 pixels; no hotshoe for accessory attachment; small and pokey electronic viewfinder; non-rotating LCD screen; soft images shooting handheld

VERY POOR

I purchased this for the zoom factor and price as it was cheaper than the Canon sx50. HOwever after using it for a couple of days I returned it and changed to the canon. The picture quality was awful, murky and grey and full zoom was blurred.

Some good--some not so good

On my twice daily walks with my dog, I shoot about 30 nature pictures each day--mostly birds, odd plants, flowers, and other wildlife. To do this, I needed the greatest zoom possible, and the Sony DSC H400, with its 63x zoom seemed to fulfill my needs.
