Sony's 65A80J delivers top-shelf video performance, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, along with many of the same features found in the company's flagship A90J OLED models at a significantly lower price.
Crisp resolution from Cognitive Processor XR, Ultra-wide viewing angle, Impressive shadow detail
Picture setup menu limitations, Minor black level issues with HDR
Sony is back with another excellent OLED TV: The Bravia A80J impresses with a picture quality that is close to the flagship model A90J.
Sony A80J delivers exceptionally great image quality with excellent contrast and color reproduction. The sound from the built-in speakers is also excellent.
The Sony screen must (so far) do without the gaming features VRR and ALLM - this is promised via an update. Only two of the four HDMI inputs are HDMI 2.1 compatible.
Excellent picture quality Sound is first class without a sound bar although obviously lacking a little in base The Google TV operating system works well and intuitively and deals with a plug in Apple TV easily. Height adjustable legs are great although dont permit rotation. Matt screen finish works well for us in minimising glare in a light room. Viewing angles are excellent
This TV has a great easy to set up interface for my other Sony devices, whilst providing excellent screen visual acuity, displaying vivid colours with contemporary contrast and brightness function.
Amazing features, smooth and very up to date android version. OLED is very pretty. This will be a device i have for 10 years.
