Replaced a Phillips Unit that Dropped off all the Time, Buffered and such. This one is better, However, It will once in a while just STOP Playing and I have to Restart from Ground "0".

Got a new 4K UHD 55 in Sony TV. Playing DVDs through my old DVD player didn't look as good as Xfinity HD broadcasts. I upgraded to this blu-ray player and the DVDs now look great. Of course playing blu-rays also looks great. The up-scaling done by this blu-ray player really works well.

Picture quality is very good,loading time fast but no optical out only coaxial. No front display only an on or off light. Very small and compact but feels cheap.

For all the bad reviews that people have posted about this player being unable to play 4k bluray discs maybe you should do a little research on what 4k upscaling means. For those who do not know it takes the source signal ie. 720p, 1080i, and 1080p and scales to 4k.

I like everything!!! The price, that I can use the apps like crackle, youtube, playstation (with wifi, and ps3 only), also is screen mirroring compatible with my microsoft phone (apple and android needs an app if it still exist).... if that fails, just use the network or usb port as last resource.

I am only using this as a disk spinner so have not set WiFi connection. As a simple BD, DVD and CD player, it seems fine and gets to the playing menu much quicker than my old DVD player. DVDs play well with excellent picture and sound.
