Singularity

Giving you a wrist-mounted flux capacitor to toy with environments and enemies alike, Activision's Singularity is a journey through shifting timelines and disturbing experiments. Is it a history-maker, or will you want to rewind time after you're done?

Singularity

Bad things happened in Soviet back in the 50's and somehow parallel realities are messing with us in Raven Software's Singularity.

Great variation and gameplay mechanics; lots of story elements in there; good use of time manipulation

Average visuals and low res textures; the story didn't really speak to me

Singularity

There are many games that get a ton of hype before their release, but often the disappointment after playing is equally big. On the other side there are games that you hardly hear about but get decent review scores nonetheless. Singularity is part of the latter.

PS3 Review – Singularity

Singularity's story starts at the beginning of the cold war. The Soviets are worried about the threat of the Americans and there nuclear power, and they set out to find something to level the playing field.

TMD helps a lot to set it apart from other FPS; Solid gameplay throughout the game; Mulitplayer component is fun; but; unfortunately; lacking

Singularity Review

You are a Black Ops soldier sent to investigate suspicious activity on Katorga-12, an island where extensive research has been done on a native and powerful material called Element 99, or E99 for short. What you find, though, is not a normal island.

Super weapons! ‘Nuff said; Gameplay that makes you improvise; An array of enemies; Interesting concept of using time; Fun and silly multiplayer

...and more game modes; Storyline lacks depth

Singularity

It is during this excursion when you suddenly time travel back to the 1950s in Soviet territory. The Russians have been widely used and abused in video games. Singularity however doesn't focus on what actually happened in the past. Instead, it's all about changing the past.

First Impressions My reaction is With so many different first person shooters available on the market these days, it is often difficult to stand out. Game designers and developers often need to explore new gameplay mechanics to differentiate their product.

Outlast Review: welcome to your stress management test

Red Barrels' Outlast is a solid indie title, which provides tension and scares in equal abundance. And while it lacks the sort of story depth a lot of us have become accustomed to, there is still a plethora of terrifying fun to be had. Get it on PlayStation Plus as soon as you can.

Some games feature emotional stories with complex subtext, well-wrought characters that make us care about their fates, or philosophical implications that give thoughtful players pause. Singularity is not one of those games.

Time-manipulation powers keep the action interesting; Diverse set of weapons; all of which are fun to shoot; Set-piece battles; boss fights; and puzzles mix up the pace; Entertaining multiplayer battles

Visuals are behind the times; Scattered glitches
