When game scoring comes into question, the factors generally revolve around gameplay, story, graphics, sound…a usual gamut of one overall point, how immersive the experience is. But what if I were to tell you that immersion can make a normally bland game absolutely stunning?

Some games feature emotional stories with complex subtext, well-wrought characters that make us care about their fates, or philosophical implications that give thoughtful players pause. Singularity is not one of those games.

Singularity is a unique action/shooter game developed by Raven Software, the bright minds from last year's Wolfenstein . It's quite clear that the team learned plenty in developing Wolfenstein and perfected those techniques for Singularity .

First Impressions My reaction is With so many different first person shooters available on the market these days, it is often difficult to stand out. Game designers and developers often need to explore new gameplay mechanics to differentiate their product.

Singularity borrows elements from gaming's greats and infuses them with its own dark style. If you can look past a flimsy (yet entertaining) story and some minor enemy issues, this game will provide a fun cure for the common military shooter

Raven's latest first-person shooter, Singularity, snuck onto store shelves recently without much fanfare, mere weeks after an E3 event that was more exciting than what we've become accustomed to.
