Shure SE535 Sound Isolating Earphones

Sound quality is awesome IF YOU CAN GET A GOOD FIT. I struggle to get a good fit in one ear. Can't get a good fit at all with the supplied foam tips. I have also tried various Comply foam tips, but again no joy.

Shure SE535 Earphones – A Class Apart

When I was told that the Shure SE535 earphones had arrived, I was really looking forward to testing them out. I've tried out previous models such as the SE530, but could never afford them. Now finally, I had a pair of SE535s all to myself. Well, at least for a while. So lets see how they fared.

Shure SE535

Shure's most expensive earphones yet, the Shure SE535s buds, trump the world-famous Shure SE530s, which are already seen by many audio nuts as the best earphones in the world.

If they had fit, I would have rated higher.

Amazon Verified Purchase ( What's this? ) This review is from: Shure SE535-CL Triple High-Definition MicroDriver Earphone with Detachable Cable (Clear) (Electronics) I had a serious problem getting these to fit. My ears were killing me by the time I sent them back. However; the sound is awesome.

Shure SE535

These top-end Shures are off to a great start if a good fit is high on your list of priorities. They're a little fiddly to get in the ears, but their snug fit and wrap-around cables keep them firmly in place.
Pros:
  • Apple Touch
  • Punchy
  • pacey performance
  • very comfortable
  • impressive sound isolation
Cons:
  • Apple Touch
  • Not quite as transparent as their closest rivals

"Shure se535 are qualtiy sounding earphones that good for all around fun. The changeable cable is a big factor to me."

The sound is fairly what I expected to be. They do most types of music well, but you have to play around with ear tip sizing to get the best sound along with adjusting your equalizer a little for ones taste. Everyone hearing is a bit different so what works for one may not work for others.

Shure SE535LTD RED

Shure SE535 Reds have served me very well over quite a long period now. It has been one constant while I shuffled through other earphones. This review is long overdue, but better late than never Intro: Although these are not having a metal housing, they still feel solid, and have held up remarkably...
Pros:
  • Amazing Mids
  • Excellent comfort plus good isolation
Cons:
  • Lacks treble extension
  • subbass rolled off
  • Pricey

The Shure SE535s are the best earphones Shure have made yet, improving the sound quality and design of the classic Shure SE530s, but you'll have to open your wallet pretty wide to afford them. If you're serious about sound quality though, these are the new buds to beat.
Pros:
  • A triple-driver design gives the Shure SE535 earphones fantastic performanceacross the whole frequency spectrum
  • Big, bombastic bass, lush mids and detailed treble will make your music sound better than ever before.
Cons:
  • With an RRP just under £500, you'd be hard-pressed to find an MP3 player anywhere near as expensive as these earphones
  • Superb buds from rivals like Ultimate Ears can be had for half the price
  • Nothing about these earphones is small.

Performance Review

These headphones are great but not my personal favorite. I was using them paired with the FiiO @ Q1 amplifier. They are a bit bass heavy for my liking and did not fit particularly well in my ears. I do not think this is a design flaw but rather because I have a unique shaped head.

Shure SE535-CL

The Shure SE535 In-Ears are a clear winner for stage applications, thanks to their convenient features and quality workmanship. The external noise suppression was good, while wearing comfort is very impressive for those looking for something they can wear for hours at a time with no fatigue.
