microphone works great, I think the older ones have a bit more character, but this one is far easier to use because you can plug an XLR directly into it.

The Shure Beta 91 is a unique boundary condenser microphone for use in the studio. I've only used this microphone a few times, but it's the best of it's type that I've used. It's got a very high SPL capability as it can handle very loud signals.
