Shovel Knight Review

There's a lot to be said for today's games. Beautiful and lush, the technological capabilities rival anything that Hollywood can produce. With the potential to captivate the player in a deep, stirring storyline or to provide players heart-pounding action from the opening screen, a wide swath of...

Shovel Knight

There's always a bit of cognitive dissonance whenever an 8-bit/16-bit throwback shows up on the PlayStation Network, knowing that there's simply no version of the PlayStation where the game would have ever felt native.

As a 2D-scroller with 8-bit graphics in an increasingly crowded market of high-quality indie efforts, it stands out as an authentic, original and quirky...

Retro 90s

Classic 8bit gaming in the modern age. The game has all of those retro elements you remember. Pixelated graphics, chiptune sounds, and some generally difficult platforming sections.
