Superior Voice Sounds

Got these not only to privately hear my TV, but also to better discern voices. It works great!

Not what I was after

Purchased for my aging father in hopes he would stop turning the tv up to a volume uncomfortable to others but the head phones don’t get very loud & if they make dialogue clearer my father could not tell.

Not suitable for hard-of-hearing

These headphones are fine in "normal" mode, but are not suitable for the hard-of-hearing because the extra features (so-called "hearing boost" and "noise suppression"), which are the main reason for the higher cost compared to the other Sennheiser models, are volume-limited, and with my diminishing...

Excellent boost for aging ears!

As a man in my 60s, I have some hearing loss typical for anyone that age. It is more pronounced in one ear than the other, and it manifest itself in an inability to hear some dialogue on television shows or movies. These headphones are extremely helpful and easy to use.

Easy to connect Adjustable settings allow you to customize them for your particular hearing needs They hold a charge for a long time Wireless range is great

After awhile; my ear gets hot and a little sweaty because of the ear cups

Sennheiser RS 195

Recently, I was asked if I knew of wireless headphones for home use that would help those with hearing loss more easily enjoy television, movies, and music in their own living room. Sennheiser's RS 195 are, as far as I've seen, probably the most graceful solution on the market thus far.

Comfortable wireless headphones with high-quality audio performance; Multiple adjustable listening modes that accentuate different frequency ranges; Can adjust panning to make one ear louder than the other

Expensive; Bulky design not for everyone

Great for Hard of Hearing TV Viewers - if you are not HoH or your main use is for music there the RS185 may be a better option

Overview ======= I find that these headphones are excellent for providing clear and intelligible dialogue while watching TV. As that was my main requirement - I regard these headphones as a great purchase. I have a typical high frequency hearing loss and have hearing aids for both ears.

Sennheiser RS 195 Review

Recently, I was asked if I knew of wireless headphones for home use that would help those with hearing loss more easily enjoy television, movies, and music in their own living room. Sennheiser's RS 195 ($344.35 at Amazon)  are, as far as I've seen, probably the most graceful solution on the market thus far. The headphones communicate with an RF transmitter that sends signal in the 2.4-2.48GHz range, so no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection is necessary. There are multiple modes that allow the user to boost or adjust certain frequency ranges to enhance dialogue or music dynamics, and even details like left and right audio levels can be adjusted. Since hearing loss can take unique forms, there's no guarantee the RS 195 will work for you, but it's rare to see a system with so many options. Of course, the headphones can also be used in "normal" listening mode, with no adjustments to the audio whatsoever. The $399.95 price may be a deal breaker for some, but the RS 195 will be well worth th...

The Sennheiser RS 195 headphones do a great job helping those with hearing loss listen to audio from televisions and stereos wirelessly.

Comfortable wireless headphones with high-quality audio performance; Multiple adjustable listening modes that accentuate different frequency ranges; Can adjust panning to make one ear louder than the other

Expensive; Bulky design not for everyone

Simply brilliant

I bought these as an upgrade from the older RS180, and wow what an improvement. No need to get up and turn the transmitter on anymore - just turn on the headphones and it'll turn itself on!! Fantastic audio quality as always from Sennheiser.

Excellent product. Initially I could not configure it properly

Excellent product. Initially I could not configure it properly. The sound was very low. After reading the user manual I reconfigured. The sound in normal mode is awesome. However, the sound and special modes are very low. I do not know whether this will help the hearingg impaired.
