Recently, I was asked if I knew of wireless headphones for home use that would help those with hearing loss more easily enjoy television, movies, and music in their own living room. Sennheiser's RS 195 ($344.35 at Amazon) are, as far as I've seen, probably the most graceful solution on the market thus far. The headphones communicate with an RF transmitter that sends signal in the 2.4-2.48GHz range, so no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection is necessary. There are multiple modes that allow the user to boost or adjust certain frequency ranges to enhance dialogue or music dynamics, and even details like left and right audio levels can be adjusted. Since hearing loss can take unique forms, there's no guarantee the RS 195 will work for you, but it's rare to see a system with so many options. Of course, the headphones can also be used in "normal" listening mode, with no adjustments to the audio whatsoever.
