The Sennheiser PXC-450s are folding, noise-cancelling circumaural (around the ear) headphones with NoiseGard 2.0 technology and a TalkThrough switch. Comes with two adaptors (6.3mm and airline) and uses one AAA battery. Weighs 240g.

Transform your seaweed-class (hands in the air) budget airline into a luxury charter jet with the best noise-cancelling cans on the market; Airline pilots use NoiseGard-equipped headsets to tell each other dirty jokes at 35,000 feet, as the tech reduces the loudest roar to little more than a...

Even folded up, the bulky PXC 450s will comprise a significant part of your hand luggage; Basically, they're not meant for any kind of movement – take them to the gym and your neck muscles will get the biggest workout, and the vinyl padding quickly gets unpleasantly sweaty.

Bought these headphone because i have heard them before and also liked the fact that they are noise canceling. The noise canceling works really well on low frequency sounds like plane engines and car noise.

Can be used without batteries when they run out; Great sound quality in bypass mode; Great at noise canceling; Build quality is amazing; Ear cups are SOOO Soft; Detachable Cable

Not to blown away by the look of them; but some people like them

Great performance, not so good packaging.

The way to go with sound sealing noise cancellation headphones...if you can afford them.

Comfortable; great sound; superior noise cancellation

Sennheiser PXC 450 Headphones

I bought these cans to punish Bose for their shoddy construction of my Triports that snapped into pieces repeatedly. I need a pair of headphones to get me through long transatlantic flights. These are my first impressions. The sound quality is good, I don't dispute those reviews.

Headphone review

The excellent product, with amazing built in quality. Based on my experience I will suggest this phone whom is looking more for the music quality then for noice reduction as music is superb but cancelation is not as great as in BOSE QuietComfort 3.

Best noise cancelling headphones

The PXC450's give very open transparent mids and highs, with deep detailed bass. Smooth sounding. These are the best sounding noise cancelling headphones I've heard. The Bose Quiet Comfort Series sounds very muffled in mids and highs in contrast with the Sennheiser PXC450's and pale in comparison.

Very comfortable, and the noise cancellation is superb. No distortion even at very high volume. Worth every cent.

So far these meet my expectations.

I went back & forth between the Sennheiser and the Bose headphones. So far I am very pleased with these for overall comfort and sound quality. I have not used them in an airplane as of yet.

Sound Quality

Comfort; Not as comfortable as Boes
