The Sennheiser PXC-450s are folding, noise-cancelling circumaural (around the ear) headphones with NoiseGard 2.0 technology and a TalkThrough switch. Comes with two adaptors (6.3mm and airline) and uses one AAA battery. Weighs 240g.
Pros:
- Transform your seaweed-class (hands in the air) budget airline into a luxury charter jet with the best noise-cancelling cans on the market
- Airline pilots use NoiseGard-equipped headsets to tell each other dirty jokes at 35,000 feet, as the tech reduces the loudest roar to little more than a...
Cons:
- Even folded up, the bulky PXC 450s will comprise a significant part of your hand luggage
- Basically, they're not meant for any kind of movement – take them to the gym and your neck muscles will get the biggest workout, and the vinyl padding quickly gets unpleasantly sweaty.

I bought these through minidisc last year to help cancel out jet noise, as I was going to North Asia and Europe.

Sennheiser PXC 450 - FIRST LOOK
It might have been a brief look, but from what we heard, we are very impressed with the new headphones from Sennheiser. The only grumble we have in the lack of ability to detach the headphone cable, something that we've found really useful with the Bose when flying long haul, but at least the...

Sennheiser PXC 450
These Sennheisers have been our Award-winning cans for two years on the bounce, but they've now been beaten by the Bose QuietComfort 15 s, which sound better and are more adept at noise-cancelling. But the PXC-450s remain a great buy.
Pros:
- Sound far better than most rivals
- snug
- comfortable fit
- effective
Cons:
- Not cheap

Sennheiser PXC 450 Headphones
I bought these cans to punish Bose for their shoddy construction of my Triports that snapped into pieces repeatedly. I need a pair of headphones to get me through long transatlantic flights. These are my first impressions. The sound quality is good, I don't dispute those reviews.
