Sennheiser PXC 450 Headphones

I bought these cans to punish Bose for their shoddy construction of my Triports that snapped into pieces repeatedly. I need a pair of headphones to get me through long transatlantic flights. These are my first impressions. The sound quality is good, I don't dispute those reviews.

Sennheiser PXC 450

These Sennheisers have been our Award-winning cans for two years on the bounce, but they've now been beaten by the Bose QuietComfort 15 s, which sound better and are more adept at noise-cancelling. But the PXC-450s remain a great buy.
Pros:
  • Sound far better than most rivals
  • snug
  • comfortable fit
  • effective
Cons:
  • Not cheap

The Sennheiser PXC-450s are folding, noise-cancelling circumaural (around the ear) headphones with NoiseGard 2.0 technology and a TalkThrough switch. Comes with two adaptors (6.3mm and airline) and uses one AAA battery. Weighs 240g.
Pros:
  • Transform your seaweed-class (hands in the air) budget airline into a luxury charter jet with the best noise-cancelling cans on the market
  • Airline pilots use NoiseGard-equipped headsets to tell each other dirty jokes at 35,000 feet, as the tech reduces the loudest roar to little more than a...
Cons:
  • Even folded up, the bulky PXC 450s will comprise a significant part of your hand luggage
  • Basically, they're not meant for any kind of movement – take them to the gym and your neck muscles will get the biggest workout, and the vinyl padding quickly gets unpleasantly sweaty.

Great Sound & Comfort

I bought a set of these used. What a great deal! The Audio quality is so good I began using them on my stero system to listen to analog recordings. I replace a set of Beyr Dynamic headphones. These are more comfortable. If you need the noise canceling capability, it also work superb.

Headphone review

The excellent product, with amazing built in quality. Based on my experience I will suggest this phone whom is looking more for the music quality then for noice reduction as music is superb but cancelation is not as great as in BOSE QuietComfort 3.

Awesome Headphone!!

I sought to find a suitable upgrade/replacement for my Bose QC2s. After a ton of research I came across these. Most reviewers state that the construction, noise canceling and sound quality beat the Bose older and current Bose models hands down. Having tried first hand I absolutely agree!
Pros:
  • Very high fidelity - Noise canceling is exceptional (beats Bose without question!!!) - Sturdy construction/finish
Cons:
  • - Carrying case fits the headphones perfectly, but there isn't room for anything else
  • - Noise canceling works so well that it seems to muffle audio output
