Amazing, worth every penny I spent and probably then some. Incredibly loud, full and rich sounding audio. Maybe a bit weak on the bass side of things but its neutral soundscape more than makes up for it by picking up lows and highs equally well.

I would like to prefice this review by saying that I am not an audiophile and so am not well versed in the quality of sound. With that said these are the best headphones I have ever worn, they are comfortable and sound amazing.
This is a pair you need to have before you ears start losing their sensitivity. Technically, much has already been described about the product by other reviewers so I'll skip that part. Aesthetically, this is an open-back headphone that you need to have if you're a music connoisseur.
These really are special
Great sound; Soundstage; Comfortable; Price
Not portable
Listening to music with Sennheiser audio is a wonderful experience. The HD 598 is no exception, and offers what I think is the best sound in its price range. As a serious music listener, they're my go to headphones.
Outstanding sound quality; Comfortable to wear; Beautiful design; Reasonable cost
Very long cable; Bulky adapter
when on sale it is worth to consider if you want a pair that is durable and comfortable
comfortable for hours of wear
long wire replace with third party wire for personal home use sound will leak if you try them outdoors
Thats my third Senn's, 6th cans overall. The HD598 needed minimum 24 of hours of burning-out before even I could listen to some music. Out of the box bass was simply unacceptable, than after another 36 hrs.
I very much recommend this specific pair of headphones. I did not know you could get this level of quality for $150. - $200. Sennheiser makes really good headphones , and these are my favorite.
The sound is clear, warm, and rich; I'm an old rock and roll guy, but the only really good quality (.flac) audio files I had on hand were a set of cello pieces; Mein Gott! I think I might have to change my favorite musical instrument.
Same old issue with the 1/8th inch headphone jack; All of my computer and stereo equipment has 3.5 mm jacks; I will eventually buy a 1.5 m cable with 3.5 in jacks on each end, and light weight to boot
The motley crew that lives in my headphone drawer was getting long in the tooth when I decided to add a widely acknowledged classic to the collection. The new acquisition was the Sennheiser HD 600, now more than 20 years and umpteen generations old, and he's become my go-to guy when I want to spend...
Musically coherent sound; Comfortable velour earpads; Moving parts don't creak
Not especially rugged; Limited low bass; No carry case
