Good stereo imaging
Slightly louder than expected but not over pleasant. Good high end detail. I thought the bass end was reasonably rounded for the type of music I tested on. Stereo imaging sounded wider than expected, though also very pleasant.

awesome
we cant bat on the reputation of sennheiser, we all know they amoungs best , n this headphone is best in its catogaries, i previously owned audio technica athm50x, its better than audio technica, you will have buy an dac and a good portible amplifier, though it works well with i phone , or any other...

Great fones!!!
These headphones are only a smidge beloew the Sennheiser HD600,at significantly less cost. Great bandwidth, clear midrange, good very low frequency response, cleam highs. The lows are almost as opoen as the HD600's, and the highs only get a little edgey with extremely high sound levels.

Holly Cow! What a Great Pair of Headphones!
I very much recommend this specific pair of headphones. I did not know you could get this level of quality for $150. - $200. Sennheiser makes really good headphones , and these are my favorite.
Pros:
- The sound is clear, warm, and rich
- I'm an old rock and roll guy, but the only really good quality (.flac) audio files I had on hand were a set of cello pieces
- Mein Gott! I think I might have to change my favorite musical instrument.
Cons:
- Same old issue with the 1/8th inch headphone jack
- All of my computer and stereo equipment has 3.5 mm jacks
- I will eventually buy a 1.5 m cable with 3.5 in jacks on each end, and light weight to boot

Pros
when on sale it is worth to consider if you want a pair that is durable and comfortable

- comfortable for hours of wear

- long wire replace with third party wire for personal home use sound will leak if you try them outdoors

"Sennheiser HD: Great sound, reasonable price"
Listening to music with Sennheiser audio is a wonderful experience. The HD 598 is no exception, and offers what I think is the best sound in its price range. As a serious music listener, they're my go to headphones.
Pros:
- Outstanding sound quality
- Comfortable to wear
- Beautiful design
- Reasonable cost
Cons:
- Very long cable
- Bulky adapter

What you would expect from a leading company
I would like to prefice this review by saying that I am not an audiophile and so am not well versed in the quality of sound. With that said these are the best headphones I have ever worn, they are comfortable and sound amazing.

Amazing, worth every penny I spent and probably then some. Incredibly loud, full and rich sounding audio. Maybe a bit weak on the bass side of things but its neutral soundscape more than makes up for it by picking up lows and highs equally well.
