Very good... but they don't have the WOW factor.

I've listen to many headphones, from the terrible to the damn right awesome but like most people im not willing to spend a stupid amount on them. With headphones though you do get what you pay for. With these headphones they are much better than the price tag but they are not; WOW!

Sennheiser HD238i

Sennheiser is no stranger to audio excellence in headphones, so it's no surprise that the HD 238i sound pretty sweet. Sennheiser has taken its high-quality HD 238 headphones and added an in-line remote and microphone specifically for iPhone users.

Nice, warm audio; great in-line mic

Feel a bit flimsy

Sennheiser HD 238

The problem is, that deal is unlikely to last. These headphones have been discontinued, presumably replaced by the Sennheiser HD 239s (list price $120). (Sennheiser also makes the HD 229 headphones, which sell for between $60 and $80.

The Sennheiser HD 238 on-ear headphones are comfortable and affordable; and sound good for the money

The headphones fold flat but lack a compact design like the Bose OE2 headphones; there's no integrated microphone for cell phones (like the step-up 238i); this is a discontinued model that will disappear from stores quickly

Sennheiser HD 238

Recently, I reviewed Sennheiser's HD 238i headphones and thought they were a great deal because they sounded very good and were selling online for $60 online. Well, as soon as I said they were a great deal, a bunch of people went out and bought them on Amazon and the vendors promptly raised the...

Headphones to die for

My husband did an exhaustive amount of research trying to find the right headphones for me. They had to be of exceptional quality, but allow me to use them with my iPod and iPad. I totally recommend these - even listening to answer phone messages on them is a joy!

Sennheiser HD238i review

This HD238i Sennheiser set has an advantage over several rival models in this round-up: they're designed for your iPhone or iPod, with compact styling and controls built into the cord.

iPhone remote connector; comfortable and lightweight; iPhone remote connector; comfortable and lightweight; fold for portability

Pads a little thick; bass too prominent; fiddly buttons on remote

Not bad at all!

* For how long have you been using it? Several months. * Did you try many other models before getting this one?

Great sound and comfort

I produce my own music and listen mostly on an iPhone while I'm moving about. I travel and also commute by subway to work, the Sennheiser HD 238 blocks most of the 'ambient' (that's a nice word for it) noise. Great balance and low end. Exactly what I've wanted in headphones now for many years.

Comfortable; Good Bass; Good Value; Great Sound

Unattractive Design
