Bought this drive on Saturday and taking it back to store today (Tuesday). This drive has been nothing but trouble. I should have read about drive online before purchasing, but it was an impulse buy.

The harddisk i received is a defect one and it was received in a dead condition.......and i hate to say this....dont ever buy the seagate products....its all junk now...i had 4 harddisks and i was very fond of seagate once and i ever bought seagate HDD only and it was good actually when it was 5...
Easy To Install
Runs Hot; Unreliable
I have two of these drives which ive owned for over 2 years. i use them in addition to an SSD mostly to backup files. One of them started to get really clunky and loud after a year but the other drive works perfectly.
reliable decently fast
can be loud
Very easy to fit, format and have ready to use in 10 mins. It does come any better than that!
The Seagate Barracuda 1TB is one of the hard disks we often see in OEM PCs. There are good reasons for this: it's cheap and its specs are bang up to date with a SATA3 controller and 7,200rpm spin speed.
This came with my MEDION PC, and it still has not even got 1 bad sector or any other issue in SMART after 5 years of using it as my everything drive.
This easy to connect and operate device does not requires external adapter to charge as well which makes comfortable to us and you can easily plug and use this superlative product with any of the compatible sources.
The 64MB cache keeps the hard drive running smoothly when activity is high. The trade-offs as you go higher in storage capacity are not worth it as of 2013. For example, the 3TB drives typically have slower access time than this drive.
As critical as I can be at times, it is difficult to knock this hard drive; Nothing negative to report here
I exclusively use Seagate Barracuda drives for all my computers. I've never experienced a failure or any corruption of data. I had to use the Seagate Drive Utility to get Windows 10 to recognize the drive, even though the Bios was seeing it, but this is a windows thing, and not a drive issue.
Works as described, bought it for my video surveillance system and have had no issue with it at all
