The Gear S3's release is imminent, but the S2 remains a beautiful piece of industrial design, and a decent smartwatch.
Beautiful round design; Elegant; fluid user interface; Rotating bezel is a true innovation; 2-3 day battery life
Barely any usable apps; Reactivation Lock is buggy; Fitness functions are very limited
"So close, Samsung, and yet... so far."
I have been in search of a fitness tracker for some time however I could find what i really wanted in a fit-bit as i wanted more functionality to connect with my phone. As always Samsung does not disappoint this watch is absolutely incredible.
This watch is awesome! I purchased this for my husband after his original Samsung Gear stopped charging. This watch is a huge improvement. It charges quickly and easily and has tons of features that are easily accessible. I love that the face of the watch can look like a typical watch if you choose.

While everyone else seems to be making me-too Android Wear watches, Samsung is taking a different smartwatch tack with the Gear S2. This wearable runs the company's Tizen software and offers a swiveling bezel to help you navigate around its unique UI.
Rotating bezel makes navigation easy; Strong reply capability for email; messages; Comfortable; water-resistant design; Colorful screen; easy to see outdoors; Wi-Fi connectivity
Limited app selection; Can't make calls
Elements of hardware design genius sit atop refreshing but ultimately very limiting software
Rotating bezel feels great; Well-made; Interesting; fairly intuitive UI
Very expensive; Very poor apps selection; Battery life just OK with always-on screen; Slow voice commands; No iPhone support

The Samsung Gear S2 is only a few months old, but it's already been updated in the form of a new $349.99 Classic edition. The Gear S2 Classic has the same exact interface and hardware as the original, but it's built with classier materials (including a leather wristband) that could be worth the $50...
Sleek design; Sharp display; Unique rotating bezel; Intuitive UI
Mediocre app selection; Weak voice recognition
