Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G Dual SIM (1TB, Beige) - Brand New review

At first glance the Galaxy Z Fold 4 isn't particularly different to the outgoing Z Fold 3. But then this isn't really an 'upgraders' phone in my view. Since using the newer Fold for a fortnight I've found the marginally different aspect ratios make both screens – whether the exterior in folded...
Pros:
  • Slightly better screen aspect ratio screens than predecessor, It's a lot like a phone and a tablet rolled into one, New Taskbar functionality for enhanced use-cases, Camera improvements over its predecessor
Cons:
  • Wait until you see the price, Under-display camera is still too visible, S Pen stylus isn't integrated – and sold separately, Screen creases and reflections unavoidable with folding tech

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G Dual SIM (1TB, Beige) - Brand New review

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 still feels like a futuristic smartphone a year after launch, but with the introduction of the Z Fold 5 with an improved hinge, better performance and a brighter display, it’s not quite as tempting an option as it once was.
Pros:
  • Smart UI tweaks, Camera no longer an issue, The form factor really does work
Cons:
  • Lack of apps making true use of the big inner screen limits usefulness, Crease and thick body remain from the previous iteration, Price still puts it out of reach for most

Could this be our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5?

Lazy old Samsung barely changed the Galaxy Z Fold 4 over the Galaxy Z Fold 3, right? It’s very easy to think this after a quick glance at the design or a side-by-side check of the stats, but don’t judge this book by its cover (screen), as Samsung’s many small alterations add up to something far greater. Yes, greater. The Z Fold 4 is really the first time the biggest Samsung folding smartphone can be recommended to most people, and if you invest in one, it has the power and ability to remain in use for years. Here’s why it’s such a big step forward. Not quite as tall and not quite as slim. That’s the basic main takeaway regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 4 compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but to leave it at that is a disservice to the differences the millimeter-tight changes make. When closed, gripping the Z Fold 4 isn’t quite like holding a non-folding phone, but it’s not far off. When you compare on-screen keyboards, the Z Fold 4’s letters are a few extra pixels wide, yet I’ve found typing t...
Pros:
  • Usable cover screen
  • Excellent multitasking features
  • Inner screen is great for games and video
  • Reliable and fun camera
  • Water resistant and durable materials
Cons:
  • Heavy use kills the battery
  • Slow charging
